| Widnes is a much better place to go to a match than a lot of other clubs in the championship, when a Super League game is played in a place that is not used to holding that capacity the police and event holders are obviously going to step up their game? Would you rather there be no presence at all. I mean look at Fev and Barrow, the presence at featherstone is Nil and it now has a reputation for fighting that may be one case but im sure you would rather be safe than sorry?
You hull lot are loud, and yes sometimes the stewarding can be a bit ott but its just a way to ensure nothing happens (im sure you're all going to say that they were making it worse but tbh i dont care)
As for Widnes being a Shithole, was hull not voted the worst place to live a while ago? and saint helens isn't the nicest of places is it?

| The stewarding was dreadful at Knowsley Road, it's even worse at Widnes. Ridiciously heavy handed when there isn't an ounce of trouble.

This is the point. Stewards should not be noticeable at all unless there is trouble. Their intimidatory and inflammatory tactics increase the chances of the trouble. Perhaps they are trying to create trouble to justify their existence and safeguard their jobs. Just a thought. That steward trying to stir it with Yeaman typified the whole stewarding mentality - aggressive and confrontational. I hope FC Voices try a follow-up as the first complaint seems to have been lost in the post.

| Don,t know why there is this over policing/stewarding with Hull and Saints, never known any trouble at all with both sets of fans. Leeds fans are different matter though.

| And yet.... a hull fan in front of us, right over on the less crowded side of the away end was hurling abuse and hand signals for hf an hour at some saints fans in the corner nearest to us and the steward sat 10 metres away didnt say one thing! would have been thrown out anywhere else.

| Must be something from Cheshire police as when we went to Warrington last week, we were filmed through the game. There was also a group of Policemen just stood in the corner seemingly waiting for something to happen.

Its no good FC Voices contacting the Widnes club. Our Chief Executive or Chairman should do so and should demand answers.

Quote: Hull White Star "FC Voices have written a letter on behalf of fans who contacted us regarding problems at the Challenge Cup Game. As our last meeting of 4th June we hadn't received a response.'"
FC Voices were contacted today by Brian O'Connor who is genuinly concerned about the issues the fans are raising and wants to see what can be done at their end to sort things. We have re sent the original E Mail and would ask all fans that have issues about last Fridays visit to Widnes to send them to Fc Voices at
FCVoices@hullfc.com
The group will collate them and send them to Widnes and report back any reply that we get.

Well that sums your comment up!.. If we as Hull fans (once voted the worst place to live) think Widnes was possibly one of our worst away days, answers many questions and many of reasons as why a fair few Hull FC fans will NOT return to Widnes, you should be bothered because you should be trying to attract fans for your debut season within the Franchise - Clearly not.

Very true, been followed out very closely by cops, talk about intimidating. One part of the quarter-final I'm now not looking forward to after Mrs B mentioned it.
