True - but Fitz gets a bit agitated when it's questioned, too. Would Agar dare move him?

The only reason that there tends to be back rowers played there is because coaches like Agar are not good enough to utilise the position properly, and think that what you have described is the best thing to do 'because the Aussies do it'. And yes, cod'ead, you can say that's a hat-trick, but it really saddens me to see a club and players with such potential being held back by a moron in charge.'"
Oloughlin plays the same role as fitz ,tackling and running loose man ,ie exstra prop ,or running forward ,most teams play with three pivots most of the time its 6,7 and 1 ,it makes no difference what number you have on ,but the nature of the modern game dictates you need three running forwards in the middle if you want to make yardage ,if westerman had to play that role he would be too fooked to pass the ball as a pivot ,every coach plays this way not just agar ffs

| i do like the way we can shift our forwards with the interchange, the fact fitzy can move up to prop and westerman comes in at LF this is where imo he plays best but he doesnt get enough game time in this position because of another interchange that will shift the forwards again, agree with what a previouse poster said about we will be buggerd if tickle moved to LF, for me tickle and manu have been 2 of the best 2nd rowers in the competition this year would be a shame to move either of them away from the position.

| Couldnt see the point of the signing at the time as we had Washbrook and Whiting, who i think has 13 wrote all over him.to play there and still cant see the point.....the money would have been better use elsewhere.

| whiting imo is one of only a few players who can play to his best in almost any position, solid and realiable at full back, we all say what happened last derby on the wing, centre his defensive play is good, could fill in the halves if needed, has played 2nd row and like fc baldy said could be effective at LF

| Whiting has hardly ever played in the pack, talk of him being a 13 is silly, nobody has ever seen him play there. He's far too lightweight for the forwards.
Anyway, last Sunday proved how important he is to us as a utility back.

| I've just done a review of the quality of our squad and there's no wonder Agar is having so much trouble:
Will Sharp - a liability and everything is his fault (including the German e-coli outbreak but not the recent volcanic eruption in Iceland - that's still Blacklock's fault)
Richard Whiting - too slow and misses too many games due to his wife constantly being pregnant
Kirk Yeaman - never passes and gets carried away when the crowd chants "Yeamo" and then puts in too many big hits
Tom Briscoe - golden boy that no-one will accept has too many rubbish games
Richard Horne - past it at 28 and has lost all the pace he never had and will never recover from his injuries or illness
Sean Long - past it and injury prone and doesn't even look like Jack Sparrow any more so why are we keeping him?
Mark O'Meley - over-the-hill Aussie here to make a fast buck - not enough har
Danny Houghton - rubbish ball distribution and keeps running away from his supporting players too fast so he can't pass to them
Lee Radford - past it and likes Rovers too much (quite good at boxing though)
Joe Westerman - over-paid and over-hyped average player who doesn't look like he understands rugby league - why doesn't he take up hockey.... or training pigs for pig-racing (I tell you, that's the game for the future)
Danny Tickle - wants to leave and go back to Wigan so should get rid (and misses too many kicks nowadays)
Craig Fitzgibbon - should be a prop (Agar's fault because every great coach is playing ball-playing 13s but not Agar no, he's too stupid to do that). Past it - shoulder's gone and wants to retire at the end of the season - plus, less hair than O'Meley
Danny Washbrook - never fulfilled his early potential - off to Widnes
Epalahame Lauaki - all bluster but never delivers - get rid. And his hair isn't as big as it used to be
Willie Manu - too inconsistent, disappears for whole sections of the game (and season) and isn't even loyal to his country of birth - would rather play for England - boooooo
Ewan Dowes - couldn't break the skin off a rice pudding - average prop who can only put in 80 minute stints, get rid
Jordan Turner - over-rated and can't catch and will never make a 6 (or a centre or a second rower)
Cameron Phelps - second-rate Aussie who couldn't get another job but FC's lack of ambition and planning meant that they were more than happy to have him
Reece Lyne - rubbish under a high ball, too small and will never develop further - get rid
Mike Burnett - hates Hull, loves Quins - no future here - get rid
Sam Moa - only goes for 5 minute spells and then has to have his inhaler - waste of cap space
Liam Kent - wtf? All other clubs who have young players only have full internationals. Why don't we - get rid.
Liam Cunningham - as above - if he was good enough he'd have emigrated to Australia, become a citizen and played in the Anzac test for Oz - get rid.
Jack Briscoe - not good enough or we wouldn't need to buy a first team NRL player for next season - get rid
Chris Green - name sounds too like vegetables - get rid
Ben Crooks - not as good as his dad - get rid
Danny Nicklas - injury prone - get rid
Sam Obst - best scrum-half in the world - keep him
Lee Williams - first name rhymes with wee - get rid
Jack Aldous - Aldous sounds a bit like bulbous - get rid
Martin Gleeson - more unsubstantiated misdemeanours than a misdemeanour man in a misdemeanour shop - get rid

I used previous poster input from the last two years and only included ctiticisms that represented unique opinions.

Yes, if only we could bulk him up to the gargantuan size of Kevin Sinfield or Jon Wilkin, then he could possibly play there. Saying that, there's not many loose forwards that could achieve what man-mountain Sinfield has from loose man.

Indeed
Whiting 6' 5" 15st 10lbs
Sinfield 6' 14st 13lbs
O'loughlin 6' 1" 16st
Fitzgibbon 6' 3" 16st 5lbs
