Simply incredible run and off load at the end. BUT at the danger of being shot down. That run for me emphasises the lack of defensive skill in the modern game. Manu is a freak. But I was always trained to have one tackle round the legs and a second round the top. I accept his upper body strength is freakish but I have never seen a man run without his legs. Why tackles never involve a man hitting the legs is beyond me. I accept he has a great step and may avoid the leg tackle but any decent coach would surely have their men take him the old fashioned way one downstairs one upstairs.

I do think Manu's most ineffective game, which I have seen this year, was against Cas. In that game, I thought the Cas defenders did a good job on him by getting a couple up top and someone roung his legs.

Even with players around his legs, when on form, he has the ability to somehow step out of tackles!!

Whilst this is about Manu I was meaning in general as well. I will wax lyrical about the run and off load for years to cone though. My reaction was for all to see on Sky as well !!! Brilliant.
