Good win and I was over the moon, credit where it is due and I hope they back it up Monday.

However

I was worried by the amount of time we spent on there line and did not convert that pressure into points. In the first half they got into our twenty twice and scored, that was worrying and they can tighten things up. The attack looks better but we had better not try the kick to Whiting against Wire eight times, as an attacking option that one is out of the bag now. I was amazed that KR gave Longy that much room and that many attempts to get a succesful kick away on the right wing, the top teams will never allow us to do that.

The addition of Gleeson has shown up what we have been missing in the centre's and clearly it should only improve with time. Beating the old enemy is always a good thing and I do feel to day we should have been into the 50s as KR had no answer to the power up front.

Moa is becoming a real forceful player and if only we could learn to back up he will become a very good off loader . Rich Horne was a threat today and no doubt the attention of Murrell gave others some freedom.

You have to give credit were it is due though Ian. If it wasn't for some great last ditch defence by Latus (mainly) we would of passed 50 points.

I meant that because Murrell was tied up trying to deep throat Horney it left others free (inc Longy) to work some magic, one of Justins plans that did not work out.

outplayed hkr what more do you want

Oh here we go, okay you beat us and outplayed us all game today but lets be honest, how many players are we missing and how many players are you missing today? Weve got Newts, Mason, Brisc and Colbon (who would of made a massive difference considering how much you kicked towards Latus) all missing from the squad. With hardly any if not no players missing out of your squad today, considering you only just beat us if it want for the final 10 minutes isnt quite as much of an accumplishment as you make out. When you come to our place all the players that missed out today because of injury and passport problems (with the acception of Mason and the rumors with toulon) will be playing and then we will see who wins. As the first game of the season will tell you, we have the better team when everyone is fit and able to play. Plus we had Dobbo in who has only just came back from a long term injury so hes not going to be up to scratch. by the time your at our place to play us all the players will be fit and playing there best and then we'll see who outplays who. All i can say is enjoy the moment and make the most of it while you can! c020.gif

You can't claim a non-registered player was "missing" HTH

coatsy on another day it could have been 50, imo cockaine is playing better than briscoe who i feel has lost a yard of pace, colbon has been in awful form and again imo thought latus had a decent game, mason well say no more, newton i will give you, thought rovers defended well to be honest, but we where by far the better team k020.gif

So are you telling me when we both have a fully fit side and everyone able to pick your still better? All i can do to that final comment is laugh to myself and eusa_clap.gif

Sure he was being criticised by quite a few of your fans after you lost away to ST's. Mainly to do with his handling of the high ball.
The targeting of Latus never payed off, down to very good defence by him and the other covering players, but the kicks did put them under a lot of pressure.

TBF i'm surprised we didn't target Fox more, with his lack of confidence at the moment.
