We played very poor away from home against bulls and only lost by 4. That has been our real only away game this season but if that form continues you will beat us. I think your last gasp win at Quins will have been a turning point for the Hull players and I can see this helping you. However our best performance of the season yesterday will help us.

I think it will be a great game but I can see you winning by about 8.

Quote: Gaslight "Why's that then? You should be beating a team 2nd in the table? Or is it because you're small minded and think because it's a "small" club "big" Hull FC have the divine right to win?

You can't even say you have a better team, sure you have more household names but based on some of the performances this year they don't exactly make a great team do they?'"

We should be beating you at home because we are a club with much greater resources and are probably spending signififcantly more on our playing squad. The fact is though that we may well not beat you which is more down to incompetence on our part than anything special about cas

Thats a bit unfair to Cas mate. They look a really good team this year.

I'm not being disrespectful to cas, merely stating a fact. the team with the gretaer resources and the higher salary cap spend should win 9 times out of 10 all other things being equal

It was the last part about nothing special about cas which seemed a little disrespectful.

Saying that, fans of other clubs shouldn't take offence when we back our own club at home against any side. It's not that we're saying their a small club etc etc it's more than we're saying we should be winning our home games against every team in SL.

Do you think cas are special? I think they have one special player but other than a good win against hudds they've not really played any of the better teams yet and have probably had the easiest start out of any team in SL. I think they will be in the mix for a 6th to 10th place finish this year like us

I think looking at their young players like Arundel and the 2 hookers they have the potential to be a real force for some years to come if they can keep hold of them. I do actually think they play some 'special' rugby and look far better than us with ball in hand.

a false position? icon_lol.gif they have a game in hand and are sitting in 2nd place

i went to see them yesterday and they looked very good indeed. OK so they were playing a stuttering crusaders team but we will have to be on top form to stop Chase and Orr. both of them played well and complement each other and will obviously be full of confidence

it makes me laugh people actually think Cas are a poor team - they are hell of a lot better than us these days

Eh?

We should be[i looking[/i (your word) to beat every team we play home or away.

What I said is we should be winning most of our home games, I accept there will be some teams that are significantly better than us regardless of where we play them such as Wigan and Wire.

They may have a weaker side on paper but so did Wakey. How many players from that Wakey side or Cas would honestly get in our side?

Maybe the difference is in the coaching and the fact that they have ball handlers and organisers in every pivotal position and all seem to know exactly what theyre doing as a team because of that. Watch the highlights of their trys yesterday, apart from the two halfbacks, Mathers at FB and the young hooker are in everything.

Cas's away form is an unknown at the moment - but we will have to play considerably better than we have been doing to give ourselves a chance here.

Chase and Orr both playing really well, alongside their young talent in Milner, Clark and Arundel. Won't be any push over by any measure, especially with their confidence ever growing, but we SHOULD be going into the match confident of winning at home.

This is nothing agaisnt Cas at all, in fact I've been impressed with what I've seen of them this season, however I would be expecting a win at home off the back of a confident end of an away win.

IMO we will struggle to match them in the backs, also their half-backs are clearly better than ours

i think it will take a typical hull performance of smashing them down the middle complemented with a good kicking game
