Quote: snerder "I know we're not.
What I'm saying is, that from our current position, that would be better than finishing bottom.'"

12th would be better than finishing bottom. It doesn't mean it would constitute a good season, though.

Quote: snerder "I do not like the position we're in. I do agree that change is needed, but I'm not in a position to do anything about it, other than not to attend matches. I'm not prepared to do that, others are. That is their CHOICE.
I have supported FC for 32 years, I will continue to support them. That doesn't mean I love, or hate Agar. It means I have seen better, and worse times (hard for some to believe) and you know what, we came through them and won the odd trophy on the way.'"

It's not about whether we've seen better or worse times. I was there all through the times when we were in the lower division and when we nearly got relegated from SL. But things were different then. We didn't have the stadium, the attendances, the merchandising income, the sponsorship or the salary cap space that we have now. The fact is, there's no good reason we should be in the position we're in. It's solely down to poor management.

Quote: snerder "We have no divine right to win things.'"

Not that load of old cack. You sound like ICEPROEXCREAMMAN.

No one is saying we have a divine right to win things. But we do have a right to expect that a club of our standing, with all of the off-field success our loyalty has provided, should be [irealistic contenders[/i for every trophy available. As things stand, some of us are just looking forward to finishing 8th.

Quote: snerder "We, as supporters, do have the right to expect better.
It will bet better.
When Agar goes, it might.

Quote: ComeOnYouUll "I was refering to Super League games as Agar was talking about how the start of a campaign does not necessarily point to how it will end.

In 2006 we went WWLLLWL then sacked Kear, we lost Agar's first SL game as caretaker coach then won the next 13 (the first three of which were under Agar).'"

Sorry missed the Bradford cup game.

I don't believe I said it would constitute a good season.

The problem is, that those of you who are obviously, and understandably, very angry about the present situation, think that anybody who has different view, is either a sheep, apathetic or ICEPROEXCREAMMAN.

All I'm saying is, it doesn't look like Agar is going anywhere at the moment, so I CHOOSE to continue supporting Hull FC, by going to watch.

Quote: snerder "Regardless of what you think of him, or what he says. He is correct that some people are writing the season off now, when it is still possible, note I said possible, that we can still go on and challenge for honours. What do you expect him to say?
I think what we, the fans have to accept is, that from what's been said, by him and the BOD, he's staying put for now. So despite that, we're all going to have to get behind the team and hope things improve on the field.
Or we can all stay at home and miss the revival
Is snerder an anagram of expro?

The answer to that is obvious, and proves the point I made in the post above it. icon_biggrin.gif

So by turning it around he means ,fast flowing, entertaining rugby that will bring us fans out of our apathy?
Oh,and we might actually win a game?
I feel cynical about the whole situation at the moment t.b.h.
A sad state of affairs when you lose heart with the club you support.

I'm sorry but that isn't all you are doing, supporting the team doesn't have to involve defending the Head Coach's poor performance.

Rich Agar is like global warming. Some people saw the problem ages ago, while most took a lot longer to convince. Now though, the body of evidence has become so overwhelming that the only people left denying it to be true are crackpots and those with a vested interest. The time for having the debate about whether Agar should remain in his job is over, everyone must focus their efforts on forcing him out of the club before the damage becomes completely irreparable.

Good summary that, it took me a while to realise Agar was not the man for us tbh.
Hopefully he will have feck off after tomorrow.
