For sure such as Westerman and Hame missing alot of one on ones, Rovers are one of the most direct teams in the league so theres no excuse for missing basic one on ones.
I was looking at our team 1-6 don't have a clue in D#. In regards to reading the game. In the pack Shrek, Fitz and Houghton seem to be the only ones who actually move up and turn the player. Tickle, Manu, Radford, Dowes, Hame etc seem to be happy with just getting the player on the ground even if the player gets a quick ptb.
With the refs been very keen on holding down we have to get the oppostion players on the backs to gain those extra few seconds to man up in the defensive line.

Lost count of the number of times I've said "thats an awful tackle position" in the past few years and today was no different.

| It has to be down to coaching, it has to be.
We all know players like Sean O'loughlin, Darell Goulding, Joel Tomkins really aren't any better than Yeaman, Manu and Briscoe. O'loughlin and Leuleui and a lot of these players for Wigan were struggling near the bottom of the table a few years ago. All that's changed is that Maguire has gotten them playing in a system, that's all it is. Further proof shows that these players don't perform at an international level because they're system players.
Yes, Hull players do make mistakes and give away penalties but it's Agar's fault for allowing it to happen. As soon as he inherited the job, he should have applied pressure and made it clear that the fundamentals have to always be respected. Backing up, tackling-technique, dummy runners, not letting a single forward drive without someone on their shoulder, speed of the ruck. I'm sure this is what any respectable coach implements: if you don't perform to that standard, somebody else will instead. Why is this lost on Hull FC?
All that FC needs is a system, and an inspirational, respectful coach that enforces these fundamentals of being a top Super League club, then we'd see the talents of Briscoe, Yeaman, Sharp come to fruition.

A Brian Smith type?.
He made average players into good ones (a la David Moon). A lot of our 2011 squad are far from average. They just play like they are.

| I think the mentality that causes us to hit the wall, which we have done several times in the past is that we have a heads down attitude - and we don't know how to get out of it.
We were awesome for the first 15, and were easily the better team, Hull KR certainly didn't play as well as we did in the first 15 at any point during the game - yet as soon as we hit a hicciup, our confidence looked totally shot and our heads went down, and we couldn't pick our selves up to regain the momentum - this doesn't happen to teams like Leeds, Saints and Wigan. We need to sort it out, among many other things imo.

It's the type of any good coach really. I'm sure that's what Wigan's coach is doing right now. He's able to get the best out of all of his players by setting a standard. It's pretty obvious we have the talent, it's just not being realised.

For 15 minutes we looked outstanding. Then, the wall, we turned into a completly different team - we went from an organised, agreesive, fast outfit to a shambolic, weak, and clueless one in what seems like an instant.

Why take Wigan away?
He didnt quite scale the heights he did at the Bulls but he saved them from relegation and then got them to within one game of the grand final two seasons running.
