I commend the clubs response to Tanseys behaviour and clear waste of talent. It can't have been an easy decision leaving the squad short just before the season starts.

I only watched last seasons FC vs Saints @ KC game last night and Tansey was involved in a lot of good stuff. We will miss him on the field but hopefully we can find sammut who will do a good job for us.

Joking aside I think it sends out a ]fantastic message from our club], and credit to Agar has he shipped out the piiss heads and has now got rid of one of our creative players no easy task considering how shy we are on the creative front...

Its always sad to see talent going down the drain and with a bit of luck this may shake him into taking positive lifestyle changes. I am certain that due to the very public conducting of his private life no other option was left for the club to take then this one.

Now there is some money freed up

I would be very suprised if someone doesn't come in during the next week. I know the club take a strong stance on discipline but I don't think we would have got rid without a replacement or two ready to come in.

I'd also be happy with getting Phelps. He's what we need, and we know he can play to a superleague standard, even if he isn't world class. he'd also bite our hand off for a contract.

I wouldn't have any worries about playing him if we really needed to, but not sure he's up to it physically just yet.
