Absolute one-eye.'"
I've no doubt Agar has impacted on Briscoe's development but that wasn't the question. BB stated that Agar produced Briscoe which simply isn't true. On signing for Hull Fc under then coach P.Sharpe he was looked at as one of the hottest prospects in the game ALREADY.

Morgan slipped down the league 3 places, Agar moved up 5!!
Remind me again how many finals has Morgan got to in SL..
Also Agar has prodcued Tom Briscoe & Houghton, who exactley has Morgan produced ?'"
Yes me. You seem to be overlooking the fact how far we've fallen. So Agar takes us down the table only finishing above the newly promoted teams then steadly rises so that makes him a good coach after massively underachieving.
Rovers when finishing 4th massively over achieved so how much of that is down to the coaching ability?
Morgan has been linked with vacant jobs previously at Wigan and Saints how many bigger clubs would come calling for Agar? I can safely say none.
When developing youngsters as you've quoted we've had longer in the top flight to attract the better juniors.
I agree with Jake, Morgan is the better coach but I wouldn't necessarily want him at our club.

So the person attributed to 'producing' a player is, under your rules, the person who gave them their first professional contract?
I'd say that producing a player is the same as developing them, or atleast similar, and during Briscoe's time in rugby league (at all levels), the development from youth team to national team is without doubt the biggest step up he's made (which was under Agar).

| I would take several players from the Hull squad ahead of several players from ours. The nature of the cap and squad structures would make anything else bizarre. Your stars are clearly better than our fringe squad players and vice versa. A squad has to be judged as a collective though. I'd say ours is currently stronger, but you have cap space to bring in new players and level it up.
Morgan's record at Rovers is impeccable - considering where the club was when he took over, that people are now asking why he hasn't won SL or the CC is a massive accidental compliment. To take two clubs from outside SL to CC semi-finals, win promotion to SL, stay up, recruit half a new squad and turn them into play-off contenders is a decent effort, by any standards. I think Agar is sometimes unfairly maligned, but his record at Hull is... mixed.

I'm steadfast in my belief that Agar as BB stated didn't produce Briscoe. He undoubtedly aided his development which I'm not denying. When a player comes to a club rated as one of the hottest around who earns credit for that, The club that have signed him after his new found title or the club or people around Briscoe that made him into that hot prospect. It's a no brainer and your arguing for arguing's sake.

Surely you must see he inherited a team of piiss heads who he shipped out?
KR finised 4th because they overachieved
I disagree that Morgan is a better coach, he has nothing whatsoever to prove that, apart from a team full of Aussies!

Tomkins progress would be creditted to Wigans superb academy not an individual coach. Certainly not Maguire as Tomkins was already on the scene before Maguire. What Maguire did was utilise Tomkins in a way that more suited the team. Thats what coaches are paid to do believe it or not.
