The amount of self-congratulation on every aspect of Rovers operation over there is too tedious even for them.

Yes but you have to see the "banter" spoils threads as well. We are still 5 weeks away from the first derby of the season, and if the banter is already sidetracking threads it is going to be very boring in 4 weeks time because it will be the same old stuff said over and over again.

There is Banter and then there is the Bolloxs you spout......

| I would say legend rather than superstar is a better term for Fitz. Great player, outstanding career but not box office.
I'd just like us to buy some halves. That's all. Or even produce one, where is our Eastmond or Tomkins?

Agreed. He's a machine and a stand-out professional. Hope he gets spelled a bit this season.

Problem here is that, say Eastmond goes to Union. How many clubs have outstanding young prospects at HB? Tomkins is genius IMO, but arguably as useful at 1 as 6. Myler? Still unproven at the top level, really. It's not an FC specific problem IMO, hence Wigan bringing in Finch to partner Leuleuai and Warrington reliant still on Briers and Monaghan.
Have we discussed Bridge on the rumours thread? I can't stand him, but is experienced, might be on the fringes at Wire with their excellent squad and can play in a lot of positions including the halves. Just a thought.

| Any hints as to who the superstar might be, hullblinds?
14k average is certainly doable (you can't be far off, as it is?), but for the games where you get almost no away support you'd have to be looking at a huge name. No disrespect to Fitzgibbon, but somebody in their prime - Inglis, Slater, Thurston. IMO.
Of those, I think only Inglis is capable of having the impact required to make a real push for Old Trafford seem likely, rather than just possible.

I'd imagine Bridge will get a bit of game time at Wire, couldn't see him wanting to leave, especially to move this far anyway.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Our starting packs good enough, as are our 1,2 and 5. But we'd need a 'superstar' as well as 2 other players.

No way would any centre in the game make us likely to appear at Old Trafford. As a halfback, Thurston would certainly increase the chances though!

Have Hull ever produced a top class scrum half? I don't know of any Hull born scrum halfs who held down the 7 shirt in the GB side
