Sad news indeed.
Give me Charleston over Eagle or Parkers anyday.

We had our evening wedding reception at Charleston, some 32 years ago when the steward was FC legend Mick Harrison.

The place was looking 'tired' about 25 years ago......but its still a fab 'salt of the earth' place to have a party/wedding/charity doo. It really does need a severe makeover and it would be great to see this happening......if plans change!
But the buildings immediately in front of West Park have needed flattening for years and have been a real eyesore since the KC opened (ask any away fan)....so just for that reason...bring it on!

what a shame....needs a good update, but to close it and then probably leave it for months on end empty and left to the vermin (not rats!) to break in and set fire/trash it would be a travesty

west park hotel will still be there!!!

is the buliding nxt door getting knocked down also aka "premiere bar"

agree ^ many a good day...and night in there (ps was looking for the "like" button, OMG do I spend too much time on Facebook )

going to sling a few down me tommorow,last new years day blow out before closing up...

I've heard that they was having a last night after the Doncaster friendly but that's only off a few friends so might not be true!

apparently it shuts on the 24th,and there is some kind of doo on the 23rd which i think is the donny game so you could be right mate,is parkers open yet?

Dont think they can,im sure its a listed building,reckon it willl be left there to rot.

I've been past a few times and it has been open had heard somebody else had taken it on but I don't know if it was just for the Christmas period while it was busy!
