Just watched the Reece Lyne knock on in the tackle that never was too. Shocking.

What? So you defend this thug then
The only 'pillock' here is yourself and er, Mr Bailey of course.
He has everything that comes to him, he invites it but then runs away.
Live by the sword and die by the sword, but in his case he won't cause as usual, he'll hide. What a n@b.

| Quote: EXPRO "Another interesting point is that if you re run the VT and watch Keith senior he actually head butts tacked players on the ground in the tackle ( so called) approx 7 times and uses his elbow in the tackle to the tackled players head / face 6 times...
this has been mentioned before his erm unusual tackle technique which always seems to end up with his forehead in the tackled players face...'"
Dead right EXPRO.
Noticed him do that a lot last night, as I have before. Cheap shots really and he really went for young Reece every time as if his life depended on it.
Senior likes the rough stuff, but he goes beyond the line with it and really sneakily.

| Am I the only one who feels this has got a bit out of control and thinks on this occasion Bailey has not done much wrong.
Don't get me wrong the guy is a Mongrel and a total Sh1thous@, but I can't see any harm in this incident.
Watching it back it is clear to me Bailey is making a valid attempt to wriggle out of the tackle and get a quick play of the ball which rightfully he can do. He catches Radford a few times with his elbow, however he is not looking towards Lee and can't see it as intentional as it happens so quick. Lee on the other hand is looking the other way, feels the blows to the head a probably thinks he is in a fight and understandably retaliates. The women on here saying he hits a man when he is down cannot ever have been in a scrap because I can tell you if you get hit 3 or 4 times you turn round and start swinging not stand up take ten paces then start fighting.
Punishment I agree should have been equal with ideally both getting ten, I dont like sending offs as it ruins the flow of the game and everyone automatically can see how the game will go. Its not the same as football were 10 men can match 11, fatigue plays a big part in creating overlaps.
Another interesting part was If you watch the after match interview with Sinfield you can see Radders and Bailey exchanging handshakes and apologies in the background. Knowing the type of character Lee is I dont believe he would of waited on the touchline for Bailey if he had felt aggreived.
Hopefully this is the way the disciplinary will see it and call it sending off sufficient.

Spot on my friend.
Bailey was making a genuine attempt to get to his feet and play the ball, whilst Radders could easily have been penalised for not releasing the legs and rolling away.
I have my suspicions about the elbows. Even if your looking elsewhere you know when you've caught someone with your elbow, and Ryan could just as easily been penalised for that.
Lee, who has played the game long enough, acted like a complete muppet in putting in the cheap shots. Had they been standing toe to toe as your manager suggested, then it would have been a straight yellow for both, nowt wrong with a bit of biff, but when you attempt to repeatedly punch someone who is on the ground then the Ref has no option, but to produce the red card.
Radders cost you the game, 4th place and 2 bites at the cherry for the GF, something the other posters seem to have forgotton in there haste to spew a load of bile about Bailey.
As Lee missed most of the match, and the consequences of that, I hope Red Hall do the sensible thing and decide Sending Off Sufficient.

Good point raised here.
If you hit someone with an elbow you know it!!.
So maybe IF once he knew he had and never done it a few more times, then MAYBE radders wouldn't have retaliated the way he did..
BAiley has a knack For doing sh** like this nearly every week.
He is nothing but an animal who picked on the wrong lad this time.
Don't condone radders reactions....but its about time he was on the receiving end for a change and his attempted head butt was nothing short of embarrassing..
Both should've been binned to cool down imo nothing more, spoiled what was a otherwise a good game.

I agree with what you say about Radford, but not what you say about Bailey.
Anyone looking at the footage with an unbiased eye would conclude what Bailey was doing was intentional.
Don't you Rhinos fans ever get tired of blindly defending Bailey whatever he does?

But maybe he didnt feel like he was a muppet because he had already received 3 or 4 cheap shots himself. Bailey may have realised what he was doing but in the speed of the tackle and quickness to play the ball these things happen.
Just trying to put myself in Lee's Situation, he has been hit so instantly retaliates regardless of being toe to toe or not.
Agreed it cost us the game and two bites of the cherry, however I feel your first bite will be more than you can chew.

| Radders punched someone in the head on the floor......should be sending off offence though many get away with it week in week out.
Bailey knew exactly what he was doing....you dont try to get up by ramming your elbow 4 times into someones head who is on the floor.....should be sending off though as above many get away with it week in week out.
I can not believe for one second the ref did not see bailey headbutt Long....instant sending off offence .....he was 1 meter away facing bailey........If he cant see from 1 metre he should not be referring......though he'll get a game next week without no punishment. And how he missed the obstruction in build up to maguires final try begarrs belief, though i'm disappointed our players never appealled to ref about it.........Sinfield would STILL be moaning about it.
I hate to see players sent off unless no other option..............his options could have been original incident both players warned or yellow carded, but the headbutt incident should have have had no option and been an instant red card.
Smith bottled it..................Cummings has to get his act together and start dropping these refs and bring in others. Players and coaches have to take responsibility for their actions, mistakes and so should all match officials.
2 refs as in Aus will do me...........speed the game up and cut out all the rubbish on the floor........if we don't we'll get murdered in internationals.
