| Quote: Rupert Pupkin "I watched the game in the pub and missed that incident, something obviously happened as many people have mentioned it.
Bailey is a t*t and always has been and deserves to get a good beating(something which Radford never gave him).'"
I suggest you re watch the incident before commenting on it. Bailey did 'nothing wrong' pull the other one.
It must have been good enough as he cut him open.

I saw the incident between Bailey and Radford.
The punches thrown where pretty laughable, especially if Radford is supposed to be a pretty good boxer. It doesnt take a huge punch to inflict a cut like that, especially around the eyes.

| I think some referees are consistent in that they give the benefit of the doubt more often to Leeds and Warrington. ( Is this the Tony Smith factor?!) Bailey should certainly have been punished/sinbinned during the game and he should now be cited to appear befpre the Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday for the incidents with Radford and Long. Just as he should have been cited for his attack/elbow to Riley's face/head in the final play of the Cup Final.
Will he? Doubt it.
The way that certain Leeds players are constantly allowed to show dissent/question the referee's decisions and get away with it is also appalling and should be dealt with.

probably so
But Radford should not have done what he did, there is no excuse, not for someone who is supposed to be a leader, role model and future U15's coach.

| Quote: Robbo4 "Ian Smith is the worst ref in SL by a mile. I'd even go as far as to say he is bent. 2 examples for you.
1. 2 weeks ago against Wire, Westwood makes a clear double movement to score a try and the Hull players ask for the decision to be refered to the video ref, Smith completely ignores the request. This week Briscoe scores a perfectly good try and the Leeds players ask for a video ref decision and he instantly goes straight to the screen. What the frick he was looking for?
2. 2 weeks ago against Wire, Tickle tackles a Wire player and holds him down close to the line. The result is Smith sends him to the sinbin. This week Briscoe picks up a loose ball goes close to the line and is tackled and held down for far longer and yet not only does Smith not sinbin a player he doesn't even give a penalty.
Smith is an absolute disgrace.'"
Well said and totally factually correct.

I'm convinced of this. I'm also convinced that Leeds came with the intention of getting one of our forwards off asap. I am also convinced of corruption in rugby since Lindop in 1980. However, I am also unreliable in my convictions as I am completely biased. Last night, though, took the biscuit - strange forces at work methinks.
Thought Bentham was supposed to be in the middle last night?

awarding crusaders try from clear knock on at wrexham!
over ruling ingoal judge at harlequins when luke dorn clearly knocks on for his try !
not going to screen for westwood double movement at warrington !

| what is the difference
between what lee smith did in the leeds v wigan game kicking out in tackle on player tackled 26/09/08 (see report from rfl website) and ryan bailey striking a player several times with his elbow?
[iIn the Panel’s opinion the Player kicked out and made contact with the face of the Wigan player. The Wigan player was on the ground and was therefore in a defenceless position. The Panel considered that the Player must have known that the Wigan player was there and that therefore there was an element of intent or at the very least recklessness in such contact being made. The Panel was concerned that the Player’s actions had the potential to cause injury and that in lashing out in the manner he did breached his duty to other players.[/i

| The most annoying thing about Leeds is they seem to do one and sometimes two forward passes in every set miles more than any other team and mostly get away with it with the biggest culprits being Buderus and Diskin which lead to a lot of their tries, its as if the refs and touch judges just ignore them.
for me this is one of the reasons they have been champions for the last two years.
also one of Maquire's groundings looked a bit dodgy to me last night, the one Childs gave .
