| Gutted!
I watched the wigan v leeds game last night and just thought they played the game at a speed and with an intensity we're unable to. I put it all down to agar. He's not good enough for our great club. I'm sick of watching one out rugby, trying to batter the opposition into submission. Tonight we didn't make one break. We could still be playing and we wouldn't have made one. What a waste of a day and money.
Worst coach in SL. Go now

| Quote: The Hollywood Frasier "Thats the big thing for me as i cant think of a single player who has improved whilst Agar has been in charge. You have Brown taking a player from NL in Lunt and turning him into a possible England bolter at the end of the year. Kevin Brown looks a totally different type of player as does Crabtree. For Wigan you have Roberts, Coley and O'Loughlin all of whom look totally rejuvenated under McGuire.'"
He hasn't improved any player whatsoever. Looks at Hudds, Brown is now a really potent ball player, Crabtree now looks like a biug tough forward, players like Raleigh have imprved their game. Like you mentioned, Lunt looks to be a cracking player. Hudds still have their limitations as a side but they are very tough to beat and very rarely do they not turn up. It's all down to one man, Nathan Brown.
Wigan look stronger and faster than any other side in the comp. Fielden is completely rejuvenated and every player is playing at a new level. Tomkins the other night for his try, looked like he was resting and yet timed his run to perfection and went straight between two men. He did not need a half back to tell him to do that he simply called the play himself. Defensively they are superb and maintain a really good linespeed througout the match. Again it's all down to one man, McGuire.
There are some really good young coaches aswell as some proven ones in the NRL and I am sure they would be interested in coming over especially with the size of a club like ours and the squad we have aswell as the young players coming through. So lets do the right thing and get one on them. Agar will probably get us into the top 8 and possibly the 6 but he is not the man to turn us into a top side.
I still think players like Horne and Yeaman can improve, infact I am certain of it, these coaches would spot the small things in their game and make them better players aswell as ensure that Briscoe, Hall and Lyne etc reach their potential because personally I am not sure they will under the current set up.

this is the crux, top coaches esp. aussie ones have the ability to work on individual players and make them better players - agar dosn't seem to have this. can't really think on any of our players who have improved a lot as individual players under his stewardship. its all very well saying that its a team game but all the top sides have individuals capable of turning a game with a bit of brilliance or a top individual performance. in our side perhaps only horne is capable of this. long maybe still can but hasnt shown evidence of this yet

| As much as i hate to admit it, i think you're spot on. Tonights showing demonstrated they weren't ready mentally and were out-enthused. Is that the players, coach or both. Either way, lets not forget this is now Agar's team so as far as it goes the buck now stops with him.

That's one of my issues, how many times under Agar have we heard 'we didn't turn up with the right attitude'. Okay the players have to take responsibility too but the coaches (not just Agar, but the coaching team) need to take responsibility for this too.
It's not acceptable. Getting beat by a better team is fair enough but getting beat because we were not up for it is inexcusable.

| saints - the longy show. Simple as
hudds - good 1st half. Faded in the 2nd. Lucky to win in the end
crusaders - shocking
quins - huffed and puffed and came through against a side with loads of injuries and who won't trouble the 8 this year
cas - apart from one spell after 1/2 time the same assessment of the quins game
wigan - showed us up for what we are
bradford - battered them down the middle in the pouring rain. Lucky their best player was ill or they may have won it in the 1st half
salford - 2nd loss against the bottom 2 sides last season
Probably the least injuries of any side in SL. Slow and ponderous in attack, static in defence. 2009 with less injuries IMO. No new ideas, no real tactics

Totally agree !!
One very good performance, 4 wins "ground out" with hard work and 3 total embarrassments. All with one of the strongest squads (on paper) in SL.
Something's got to give !!! .......and it's you Mr. Agar !!!!!

| Said at the start of the season his position should be assessed after 10 games and will stick by that. Win the two games at Easter and the start/position in the table will be acceptable. Win one lose one and 12 points from 20 will be just above average. Lose both and the losses to the two lower teams will make the whole picture unacceptable. For sure the Salford and Crusaders defeats have been hard to take and raise big question marks over Agar's ability to motivate the team and make sure all of his players are playing at the top of their game. Easter Monday evening will be the time to decide.

| Better than last season, but it should be with ther personal we have brougt in and we have done pretty well on the injury front so far. Agar IMO isnt up to the job, as others have mentioned we need a top coach to take us onto the next level, I would love to be wrong about Agar but the team isnt leraning from defeats and he is makign the same caoching mistakes as last year. Our tactics are poor.
He has the next 2 games for me, we need to win at leats one of these games and the perforances need to be much improved, certainley at Rovers, as if we carry on our away form we will be in for a heavy defeat.
I hope Rule has his ear to the ground on potential coachs for next year, as I cant see agar getting an extension.
