I have similar thoughts on Yeaman

Dont know enough about Watts
Wheeldon apart from being younger is no better than what we already have, similar to higgins etc.. a few good young lads in the NL1 but are we in the market for projects again??...'" We need something more substansial than a "project" IMO.
LMS - Think it's time for him to move on, things just aren't progressing in the big smoke.
Wheeldon - Was released once so wouldn't go back, also don't think he'd want to come TBH.
Watts - Would definitely make it known we was interested, just to let him know he has options before he commits to Rovers
Anyway, think the back line needs most attention this year TBH.

| Cusack will retire.
Hall will leave I reckon.
One of Dowes or Radford might leave.
Tickle might leave but will hopefully stay.
Whiting will stay I reckon.
Priorities will be a prop to give us 5 again. Also a centre to replace Hall and provide competition for place with Yeaman and Whiting.
So for me possibly two coming in. LMS would be a very useful addition especialy with him being English and as for a centre I really don't know.

Turner? Horne is only 27/28 isnt he so has another 4 or 5 seasons left in him at 6. (not to mention Lyne as a future centre)

Yes, of course, silly me. Turner will be the obvious choice so I guess the 2nd player to bring in could be a winger should Calderwood leave other than that I don't see where the priority would be.

spot on, I know they are not available every day but a Gidley style player would make us a fairly complete side, I am led to believe the club have an young option at SH cover they are talking to , Horne has a few years left , we have wingers in waiting so I guess Centre is the issue as Whiting may well move to the pack as he gets older and replaces positions in the pack shuffle as Radders leaves etc

If Cusack leaves we are down to four props (Rad, Moa, Ogre and Dowes), so if we bring in LMS we have 5 again. Losing one of Radford or Dowes would mean we lack any cover for the front row.
Nothing definate about Tickle really, although it is more positive.

or move Hame up to prop and re ignite Burnett again in 2nds therefore replacing Cussack and leaving the cash for a centre etc, with our rep down under or here there has to be scope for a centre now of repute!!

| Calderwood - 1 year deal, just as good as anything else about, needed for the wing.
Yeaman - 2 year deal, still quality plus home grown.
Dowes - 1 year deal, workhorse prop, good player to have about.
Radford - 1 year deal, aggressive and home grown.
Tickle - 2 year deal, good age, not sure if Burnett is ready to step up yet.
Fitzgibbon - 1 year deal, quality player, hopefully will teach the young ones a thing or two.
Manu - 2 year deal, even more vital now he is fed trained.
Cusack - release even if he doesn't retire, replace with young, British prop, I'd prefer McCarthy Scarsbrook.
Houghton - 2 year deal, short at hooker and valuable due to being home grown.
Whiting - 2 year deal, vital to the squad, does a top job almost anywhere.
Hall - 2 year deal, home grown, still think hes going to be a top centre.

Even if Hall was to leave next season I think you have enough depth there, I cant see Yeaman not getting a new contract. I really believe Briscoe should be moved to the centre next season for him to show his best form and play in what looks could be his natural position. So with Yeaman and Briscoe as specialist centres, you also have Turner and Whiting as cover.
Another winger would probably be a good move, I read you guys have a couple of kids coming through who maybe ready for next year. I would maybe take a look at James Nixon at Barrow and see how well he comes back from his injury.

| Good call on Nixon but can we get the cumbrian players to move as most of them are also employed at Sellarfield arent they??/
