I can just see it now, Agar rests Fitzy and we get beat. I don't want to see another Agar out thread started calling for his head because we got beat because we had no Fitzy.

Place him on the bench use him if necessary that way he can do both pull us out of the mire if necessary or have a rest if we do well...........

I wouldn't. We don't have the squad depth in the backs to get to OT and win. CC on the other hand, if we got past Leeds and a decent draw, might be on, particularly with Long's love affair with the cup (says in his book it's his favoured competition) and Fitz/O'Meley's big game experience.

It is going to happen Mrs B, I made a school girl error with my hols and will miss our first win at Wembley , got a nice bet on it though...but I still believe our SL games are the most important, any-thing can happen in play-offs the higher we finish the better it places us, every game must be entered with a strong squad and a most win philosophy.

I think Fitz should be rested more during the games tbh, as fantastic as he is we need to be careful not to burn him out as like you say it is a long season, the problem is I actually believe Fitz is the strongest leader on the pitch he inspires all around him his presence is influential, I know Long leads the team but he does not have half the impact Fitz does on that pitch. Hopefully we will get past Leeds and get an easier draw in which we can consider resting him.

I'd play Fitz but only in two 20 minute spells. With easter coming up, and with all due respect to Salford, we have much tougher tests to face in the next few weeks. If the loss of Fitz for 40 minutes is enough to cause us to lose to the worst team in the league then we really are nowhere near as good as the league table currently suggests.

The decission will probably be made by Fitz himself and I can't imagine him wanting to be 'rested' half a dozen games in to what could be his final ever season. Personally I think he'll need dragging off.

Me. We started the season with a 19 year old centre being given one wing shirt and no recognised first choice right centre. Are Leeds/Saints/Wigan/Warrington/Hudds in this situation?

Anyone know how many tackles Fitz was on after the last round? He's now 2nd in the comp on 317 (average of 45 per game)
