| Quote: Neil HFC "Oh Yes,
Seen the Damned a couple of times, most memorably at a pub with maybe 200 people and a stage barely big enough to fit the band on.
Yeah they once played togeyher years ago....might have been the Maequee in London. Motorhead went on record saying the Damned blew them off the stage with the noise they made.
Seen em a few times also mate. Still listen to it now.

| Anyone ever been to the Little num num club in York?
It has some fantastic acoustic nights, just Google the above name.
It's an old church; very basic, no frills with a can bar, but some great artists on show and usually on the 1st Saturday of the month.

Stones would be good. Never seen them.
Coldplay. Chris martin = Pointless
Muse...was bored by their self indulgence
U2 - Amazing live
Arctics - Like but disappointed with the set at Leeds fest this year. Played songs from an album released a day earlier. Good move boys. Not. How to kill a crowd.
Radiohead - Not seen, would like to.
Chili peppers - Saw them couple of years ago at leeds fest...TBH off the back of an 18 month tour and they couldn't be d
Green Day - Awesome!
Stone Roses - Browny needs to sing in tune unlike Leeds this year
Madness - Yes please
Manics - Good live
Oasis - Good but visually boring...that's if they bother to turn up!

Not strictly true. Oasis are IMO a band that are much better at a small venue, their music is probably seen as more personal to the listener. I've seen them at a gig of 70,000 and a crowd of 2,500. I know which i preferred.

A have reformed for a short tour. Didn't realise that Adam (the drummer) has been drumming in the Bloodhound Gand for the last two years. The singer (can't remember his name) has written 5 number ones and 10 top tens for other bands since A went onto the back burner.
The McNabb gig is on the 13th November. The only way you can buy his new album is at these gigs. Saw him in Leeds last week and he was on top form, the albums ace too." >]

| Rolling Stones 4/1 - Saw them in 1981
Coldplay 8/1 - seen them at Glasto twice before
David Bowie 8/1 - Never seen, would depend on who was on the other stage!
Muse 10/1 - Seen them
U2 12/1 - Seen them several times, bored of them now
Arctic Monkeys 12/1 - Went to see Bjork instead at Glasto in 2007, nuff said
Radiohead 14/1 - Love them, seen them 20+ times
Prince 16/1 - Hell yes!
Elton John 16/1 - Hell no
Red Hot Chili Peppers 16/1 - I'd maybe go and see them
Kings Of Leon 16/1 - seen them twice at Glasto
Green Day 20/1 - Never seen, would like to tick them off
Robbie Williams 20/1 - Saw him at Glasto in 97 and T in the Park in 97
Stone Roses 20/1 - A fully reformed would be interesting
Madness 25/1 - Is there a place for the nutty boys in 2010?
Spandau Ballet 25/1 - Not bloody likely
Manic Street Preachers 25/1 - Love them, seen them too many times to count
Take That 33/1 - See Spandau Ballet

Coldplay. Chris martin The only thig that would make me risk drowning in mud is a promise of bands like AC/DC, Metallica, Maiden or Kiss headlining......Awsome to see live.....You never know what to watch on the stage.....There's always loads going on. 'Boring' bands like Coldplay and Oasis are always rammed up their own hype and really do fail to deliver any atmosphere.
I mentioned Kiss...Hell, you don't even have to know, like or listen to their music to appreciate them. They could win anyone over..even with their combined age of 3000 years!

Saw the Bloodhound gang supporting Bowling for Soup in Nottingham and also Simple plan in Cardiff last year, OK till bass player decided that his party piece would be to pull a big Equiliser unit across the stage with his Todger!
Someone mentoned the Damned, when I worked at hull city hall we promoted them in 1980 at the height of the punk thing, anyone go? it lasted about 30 minutes till a punter let a fire extinquisher off from the balcony all over the side mixing desk and Rat .... end of concert riot ensued!!! great days!

Motorhead played Hull City Hall June 1982 Lemmy fell off the stage and was the loudest gig they had ever had there. The bass was so loud it knocked loads of dust out of the organ. The next loudest was in 1987 when WASP played, but Judus Priest were the best they used machine guns and Harleys on stage. The roadies rode the Harleys up the main staircase at the Hall to get them in. Sorry good memories though

First saw them in 1964 at the Regal Cinema (ABC), Ferensway (search stones, hull, 1964 on that video sharing website). Seen them at numerous places since, including Seattle Kingdome in 1994.
If they're playing Glasto, I might just exercise my 'local one-day ticket' facility.
