Agar has assembled "his" team for 2010 . Quality and leadership has been brought in that can not be denied .
Are we now willing to wipe the slate clean and draw a line under 2008 /2009?
Will the Black and White Nation rise and repel our upstart "neighbours"?
Do we feel nevous or confident for next season?
What are your thoughts !'" confident

| People are getting carried away. We'll undoubtedly be better than last season but those we've brought in won't turn us from bottom 3 to top 4

Depends on whether the league is as poor as it was this season I guess.

Doesn't make any difference how poor it is, there'll still be plenty better than us. We need some fresh ideas at the club

Not so sure TBH. Even being as dire as we were last season we lost a few games by a handful of points. The improvements in the side should easily be enough to turn those losses into wins, which would put us comfortably in the playoffs and with an outside chance of the top 4. It's unlikely IMO but possible given the generally low quality of SL right now.
We'll all have a better idea once everyone's finished their recruitment, mind.

Not saying it will, but if we actually challenge for something it will be a start.

| Clean Slate? For me not really.....Agar has to show he knows what he is doing and that doesn't instill me with much confidence.
The playing squad looks better but as already stated a couple of key injuries and we are back to square one.
All in all i'm willing to give Agar a chance, although reluctant in doing so. I have also changed my mind not to renew my pass and renew it again, can't live without RL every week during the season!!!!

| Key things for me:
1) Horne - has he sorted his diabetes management ?
2) Agar - has he learnt that 5 drives and a kick don't work (and stopped being too pally with the fans, professionals don't text the squad to "mates"icon_wink.gif
3) Berrigan - can he cut the drinking and start turning up?
4) Long - Holiday, Pension top up, or genuine desire to win?
we shall see, my expectations are not high.

4)Long - needs to stay injury free
Overall, I'm confident and very optimistic about our squad.

Agree completely with you on this.

They will help him develop into a top coach. I've stuck by my gut instinct about Agar these last two disasterous campaigns. We've had more than our fair share of injuries, in fact there isn't a sporting team of any sort on this planet that would've coped any better than we did. Take the Challenge Cup final last year....We started without our main playmaker in Dykes, then lost Tom Briscoe as he was getting into his stride.....None of this Agars fault. Getting Horney to play was a bit 'brow-raising' but i'm glad he took part in a game where the lads gave as good as they got and almost caused an upset.
Like i've said before...we all have to learn our trade...i'm still learning as a sparky after almost 18 years!!!! Agar is learning by his mistakes...or should I say...HAS LEARNT! HIS squad will restore our pride and lift us into the top half of the 2010 table.....and I reckon it will shut a few doubters up too!!!!
I predict Silverwear for Hull FC next year!!!!

| The recruitment has been pretty good and we look to have a balanced squad for 2010. There is a good blen of youth and experience and if Longy can play in around 75 % of the games then I think we will go well.
The only sticking point is can Agar coach them into a well organised and hungry side. If he can use preseason to install belief in the players and create a real team spirit then we could do really well.
Agar now has to deliver, no excuses this time.

Think that is a bit unfair on a genuine professional.
