You wouldn't need all the cark park space or terracing so 2 pitches would be possible but would involve major redevelopment. Would be a lot more expensive than starting with a flat field

The Boulevard was bombed during the war, the South main stand was flattened by the Luftwaffe. It was also the home of a barrage ballon unit at one time one of around sixty that protected the city.

The last bomb site in Britain is also in Hull on Beverley rd, the old cinema and there are plans to turn it into a restaurant .

FWIW, the redevelopment wont be done on the cheap and to expect everything to be done immediatley would be wrong. Its going to cost 250k just to demolish the terracing that is still there

"RECOMMENDATION

That the application be Refused for the following reasons: -

1 The proposed development would result in the substantial demolition of a Grade II listed building within a Conservation Area. "


My point was that only hull would conserve a bomb site

Hull has more undeveloped bomb sites untouched since the war than any other UK city.
