Reckon Radford could be there next year. But a super league squad should still have 5 specialist front rowers.

| Is it just me that couldnt care less if Moa stays or goes . At best the blokes average plus hes overseas , summit we all go on about just using on mediocre players over the years . If he was like graham i could understand, but people are saying we"ll have the best pack around with him in . Look at the bulls this season , they have one of the best packs and are 11th. Personally i think we need a top notch centre like Gidley. Ill now take cover.

I don't agree that Moa is average, he made the most impact in the forwards last night (apart from Manu). However, I do agree we're light in the backs and with the balance in our squad if there's a really good overseas back/half available we should use the last quota space on them. With hindsight, as has been said, the 1 year deal for Cusack was probably a mistake given that it means we miss out on developing a very good prospect in Moa.

Point being that with the quota coming down it's difficult to use quota spots for "projects".
King did play well last night.

Agree, having watched Lauaki for the first time tonight, and i know its early days, but i thought when he played slightly wider he made more impact, 2nd rower??? was'nt it his long pass to Raynor, that should have brought us a try

your not wrong ,i like moa but our half backs need some more quality,we should not have kept yak then we wouldnt be in this postion ,again bad retention from the club its a fault with the current guy in charge hes got rid of most of our strike players from the cup winning side ,hence we have gone backwards big time ,who would have kept yak at the end of his career who will give one more season and get rid of a 22 year old ,real prospect sorry but mismanagment again

Agreed. Only 2nd game but he looks better further out IMO. Which leaves us with 3 great options in the second row, in Fitz, Lauaki, Manu plus Tickle, Burnett, Radford but lacking impact at prop.

Which is why some of us think Moa should be kept.
Fact is, we have so many weaknesses in the squad that fixing them all for next season is impractical. We need some cover in the backs AND more impact in the props. Will be difficult to do both to a good standard.
