Only guess I could make is as cover and also a chance to look at him further and then decide whether or not to keep him? |

Seems reasonably obvious to me. Provided we're not paying him much unless he plays then he offers cover and he continues to train with the squad so he can slot in if required. What's so strange about that ? It would be far stranger to send him back to Leeds and then have to do all the paperwork again the next time 2 outside backs get injured, which in case people hadn't noticed does happen fairly regularly.
