| Quote: Lee_A "Im no Thorman fan but he is playing behind the worst set of forwards in SL (barring possibly Celtic). Its questionable if he could do anything ball in hand on the opposition line, but we are never going to know playing in a side with Dowes, Cusack et al in it.'"
half the reason the team looked so tired was on the back of his poor kicks, we had to defend constantly due to him, gifting the ball to the opposition on every set.

| His ability to pick out the winger or full back to inch perfection has to be admired.

Aye, its a fair point. I dont think defending constantly was solely down to Thorman though... bit harsh just to single him out. When we were in the ascendancy in the first 20 aside from Thacks on occasion not one of the forwards had a tackle burst or off load in em, very pedestrian, very poor.

| His poor kicking game WAS the reason why we had to do so much defence
When we turned the ball over they had a free field to run into as the ball was down the throat of the full back of wingers, and they usually got to their 40 without too much effort on the first tackle. This meant at the end of their set of 6 they were in a position to put an attacking kick in which resulted in so many drop outs. I sit in the east stand right at south stand end and I saw F**K all in the second half. Nothing down that end of the pitch.
I think we were better than them in every department apart from kicking. Briers did nowt for most of the night yet his kicking won them the game cos HE CAN KICK DEEP INTO SPACE.
I could kick better than Thorman if I had two wooden legs riddled with woodworm.
On another point saying he plays behind a poor pack shows what he is as a half back PATHETIC cos good half backs play in FRONT not behind of their pack and its their job to get us on the front foot.
Not critisised Agar and Sharp this season but they have to go. They should play any half back out of reserves or academy in front of Thorman and get rid of him. If you can't see that he is not professional standard then you both need the sack. What do they think he offers to the team?
Half way through the season and Thorman still gets a game. The mind boggles. Next home game i'm standing outside the ground until the team is named. If Thorman plays I ain't going in the ground. not wasting my money any more watching him. And before peole say I'm not a true supporter I have missed 3 home games in the last 35 years. We buy forwards forwards forwards and no sign of a half back at all.

Normally I'd agree that blaming any single player for a loss would be harsh. But on this occasion it's fully justified IMO.
Thorman was absolutely dire for 80 minutes and lost us the game.
