Get your head out of your own s and you might have seen Calderwood was not square at the play the ball and he went for the ball before Wainwright even touched it with his foot and the ref give you a penalty for holding him back WTF?plus all the forward passed in the first half that both linesmen and ref missed and the knock on for your first try that wasn't even referred to the video ref another WTF?
But yet both linesman and ref saw the ball brush Shenton's gonads before going into touch from 20 yards away but didn't see Calderwood push Shenton in the back?
The ref kept you in the game in the first half and gave you the game in the second half.No way would five drives and a kick have been good enough to beat Cas if you didn't have your fourteenth man on the pitch playing a blinder.

Stop talking rubbish, whether Calderwood wasnt square or not doesnt matter the fact is that you cant grab hold of player off the ball like Wainwright did, so it was a penalty to Hull, if Wainwright had left Calderwood alone, and he had made the tackle it would have been a Cas penalty as he wasnt sqaure, but he didnt have chance.
Watch the game again the the officials got two decisions incorrect, the forward pass leading to our first try and when Ford put his foot into touch.
Better side won on the day.

| Wainwright only fell into Calderwood because of the way he stood on the ball.
Calderwood had his hands on Wainwright, which is technically interference although every player does it. Wainwright plays the ball but mistimes drawing his foot back to play it and scuffs it with his heel meaning he slips and as a result falls over into Calderwood. It was accidental, not deliberate, and therefore should have been play on. Anyone could see that.

Someone seems a little bitter.
Cas were poor yesterday. Hull weren't great, but were the better of the two sides. To focus on one decision is deliberately missing the fact that your team weren't good enough to win the game.

| Thought our 1st half performance was abysmal - TBH.
Our props made no impact, Radford as a captain, spent half the game on the bench.
Apart from his goalkicking,Tickle offered not much, his defence was poor.
2nd half, the team showed more enthusiasm, impressed with Houghton,Burnett, R Horne and Calderwood.

End of the day the decision rightly or wrongly (personally think it was the right decison but harsh as you see it happen many other times) didnt cost you the game, it was in the 65th minute so you still had chance to win the game, but you wasnt good enough.

| I'm really pleased with the two points and the effort put in out there.
Great to see Calderwood finally getting some kicks to chase, why has it taken so long for us to use his strengths?
I thought he has a great game alongside Houghton and Horne. Impressed with Thacks and Cusack as well.
Two weeks rest, Motu and Raynor back training, everything looks pretty good to me

Debatable.
All the media report we were the better out of the two sides. The Mirror, Yorkshire Evening Post both agree that they were bad decisions.
In a way they did contribute to our loss, but other aspects also demoralisingly cost us too. That penalty incident gave you the lead and also the impetus when really, it should have been the opposite way to us.
That first try of yours shouldn't have been again, and we should have been heading in at 6-0. That try lifted your spirits, and all too often the sides who score it come out better for it (which is what happened).
As for the final try, Calderwood clearly shoves Shenton while he attempts to shield it out, which again, should have gone our way. Swings and roundabouts really, but that should have been a loss in your favour really, not ours. Severely disappointed, but we have to move on. No time to cry about it really.

I admire your sentiments. As you say, these things even out.
I`m still agrieved about Salford winning on a forward pass.

So it should of been a penalty for obstruction then??

| I felt it was an improved display, and Calderwood in particular is getting better with every week.
but still a lot to work on, and we failed to capitalise fully on Sherwin putting the ball out on the full about 4 times.
also Thorman was a passenger yet again! he did little to nothing, and his kick with 7/8mins to go was horrendous, 3/4 the pitch to aim at and he still finds the fullback!
it still wasn't fantastic but I think beating the other midtable sides and aiming for 6/7/8th is all we can hope for with this squad anyway
