People constently slag Claderwood off but of course we play such expansive rugby and utilise our wing so much don't we  |

Which would Calderwood or any other winger rather do?
come inside and scoot the ball against a pack from a standing start or being slipped a pass so he gets a nice piece of space to run into against his opposite winger?
no brainer for me but hes only looking to get his hands on the ball from this harder option. |

Briscoe hasn't done anything of note since the first couple of games. Calderwood has been much more noticable than Briscoe, in a positive way |

Calderwood tries much harder than Briscoe, takes the ball up more, tackles better and with more passion. He looks to do more work than Briscoe. To say that Calderwood has been poor is laughable. He has barely had a good ball and the only time he gets to chase a ball now is on the last tackle and the winger has usually dropped back anyway. The only time Calderwood ha slooked poor is when a high bomb is put up to him.
Briscoe started well, he looked strong and wanted to get involved. Now I feel he looks average in defence, doesn't look to get involved as much and is less effective. He too though has been hindered by a lack of good ball although he gets more than Calderwood. I certainly havent seen this supposed 'flair' though.
Briscoe will be a star, but I really think that he isn't criticised due to his age, whereas Calderwood is criticised because alot of people didn't like him before he came here and he is expected to be superman basically |

The crazy thing is, Blacklock did get 20 tries a seaosn for us yet there were some who expected him to be able to cover three man overlaps. |
