I don't think so, but he won't be cheap and certainly not getting value for money.

| Jury out for me too at the moment.
To be fair, last season he was hampered twice by injury and also by Covid.
Also he’s had an array of half back partners.
Looking forward to see how he works with Gale, if they can get a steady run together in April and May. Then we come the end of June, we should be deciding whether to take up the option of third year of his contract or not.

Pretty much how I see it in regards to Reynolds, his hamstring was unfortunate and typical of any player that hasn't played much he was then hit by covid. His knee injury would have happened to any player that ended up in the position he did by the tackle.
I do think having Gale alongside him as his halfback partner will make a difference.

| Don't have an issue with Reynolds personally, he had a nightmare of a year in 2021 through no fault of his own and is now finally (touch wood) having a bit of a consistent run in the team. He has shown glimpses of what he can do this season and his energy can be infectious, im happy to give him time. He has only played about 100 minutes of rugby with his half back partner and every one of those minutes have been in dire conditions! The club has bigger problems than Reynolds at the moment.

Add to that his injury record last season, been a very poor signing.
I've seen more in 2 games from Cust and Croft that 20 or so games from Reynolds.
People mention McNamara but for me Reynolds is much worst when you look at his salary.
Is there a halfback in SL that is involved I less trys than Reynolds.'"
not been impressed with Reynolds however playing with McNamara is not going to enhance his game.
I would like to see him with Gale for a run of games if we ever get that with these two before writing him off.
That said the club should be looking at two new halfbacks for next season

Is it definitely a club, rather than player, option for the third year?

Can't see Bellamy bringing Cameron Munster with him but I suppose you never know.

Nothing personal against Reynolds but I hope we don't extend his deal beyond this year.
He comes across as a real decent bloke who genuinely cares, but when your best asset as a 6 is your kick chase its never going to end well.
I don't think it's helped that he's on a wedge and he took the 6 shirt from Kelly who was freakish at times.

A few decent options available in aus. Nikorima brothers would be nice
CHT or Jake Turpin would go well over here too.

| OK, so we can give him the slight benefit of doubt with his attacking play as he hasn't had settled partners.
What about his defence, statiscally the worst defender in SL, missing the most tables, average 5 misses a game and only 60% completion rate.

fonds blancs/Sid.gif I have lost interest:fonds blancs/Sid.gif |

| Reynolds must wonder why he’s a 6 when Jake runs the show at 6 !
He must think what the hell do I do when Jake is kicking , passing etc
Jake should be feeding off Josh and flying into gaps and running lines off Josh
lol
but even blind Freddie can see Jake isn’t a FB
