Keep your knees loose......... [img:2wnysbz3]http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/3192/keepthefaithjg9.png[/img:2wnysbz3]:4401.gif

Thanks again for another spot on diary Wilf. Watching the game on Thursday was like being hit by a sledge hammer. I think what was the most maddening about it is we've seen glimpses of what we CAN do this season. The Semi final win was a memory for life, but why do we have to pay for it with the pits of hell! Other teams don't seem too!
Anyway, whatever happens it'll always be Black n White for me, gets into your blood doesn't it?

JOHNNY WHITELEY - A TRUE RUGBY LEAGUE LEGEND:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_28490.jpg

If you'll forgive me this week Wilf, I won't say its "a great read" as I normally do as I am so despondent after Thursday's showing up.
Whatever PG's failings, he can have no responsibility for what happened and the blame rests solely with those on the pitch. I hope they have some understanding of just what this display meant to the faithful.
I am in two minds whether I will renew my pass and my decision will only be made when Adam lets us know what his plans are (and not what the Daily Fail are reporting).
Keep your chin up mate. Its all we can do until we know what is planned.

Proud to be part of the HULL FC family. The Future is Bright and will be BLACK AND WHITE !:2826.jpg

I don't think in all the 35 plus years I've being watching Hull FC have I being so pleased that the season has finished.

Thank you Wilf for putting your true feelings down in your Diary, your words summed up what a great great number of the Faithful are feeling this week and there's still more emotion to endure yet, it could be a long week. icon_cry.gif

Great Diary, must have been tough to write, it was tough to watch but at least i'll get money off our passes !!!!

I had a long chat with some of the junior coaches and marketing staff over the weekend and came away quite optimistic for the long term future of the club. Club Hull is quite a romantic ideal but they genuinely believe in it and are pursuing it with great enthusiasm.

No more over paid average Australians causing massive resentment !! We'll see. Main issue for this latest master is locally there simply aren't enough boys playing the game. This is something they acknowledge and know desperately needs addressing but have no plans in place !!!!

Hope it works out but there are fundamental defects already.

Its been a long season and I'm glad its over but by December I'll be longing for the next episode of Coronation Street for men !!!

It's Monday and I am still thinking about it, what makes it worst is that I have the whole off season with that being my last memory.

Agree AP should read it and think this is how 10,000 fans are feeling right now.

Well done Wilf, must have been hell to write.

Agree with everything you say, Wilf.

Lets hope you're not writing exactly the same thing in twelve months time when some of our prima donna players decide they don't like the new coach.

Their disdain for Peter Gentle can be the only explanation for Thursday nights disgrace and they need to take a long hard look at themselves. Most of them are nowhere near as good as they think they are.

Great diary Wilf, pretty much sums up how we all feel What ever anyone thinks of our coach he does not miss tackles these players are paid very good wages and should be giving their all every week I have got to say that I felt proud to sit amongst my fellow fans on Thursday who complained and cursed a few times but in the main remained dignified and supported the team to the very last this great set of supporters deserve better a lot better I just hope Adam Pearson finds the solution and can deliver the success the Old Faithful fully deserve as disappointed as I am me and my family will be back next year with season passes its the only way I can do my bit to help us achieve what we all want Success and a team to be proud of

Can't have been easy writing this week Wilf, well done and thanks.Feel sorry for Adam Pearson, plenty of apologies from him, but not too many from the players.Paid for my pass and then found out that Cookey might be given a role at the club,it's a funny old world. Thanks again for this week's diary,it must have been difficult finding words after that debacle. icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

Well thanks for this weeks diary Wilf, probably the hardest one you've ever had to write but you put the thoughts of many fans into words, it is bloody hard work being an Airlie Bird. We faced similar situations in the 70's but back then we just got on with it, the retained list came out and we imported the odd player e.g. Terry Kirchin but these days at the age of 61 I see teams like Leeds and Warrington keeping aging players on contract, there is no transfer market to speak of, no notable OOC players available and I have to ask myself what progress has Hull FC or the RFL made.
The answer is none, the game is shrinking under the ownership of Sky and will continue to do so as a supplement to football coverage of the billion pound game. We will continue to shrink at what will be an ever increasing pace

Thanks for the effort you put into the diary this week Wilf, must have been soul destroying to write. Summed it all up perfectly for me. Wish I could book a weekend away for that many in such a short space of time, or was it already booked? Makes me wonder.
Also bit worried about Whiting, what was his injury, I saw nothing before and if anything has been written since then I've missed it.
We usually mull over the week's events, but no-one in the family wants to talk about the game or rugby this week. We all feel too down about it, no doubt in a few weeks' time we will be raring to go and won't be able to wait for the new season to start, but that is like I say a few weeks away yet.
Ordered my season pass, as my dad would say "mugs wanted...."

you've nailed the feelings and frustrations of every fc fan who have watched our team rise and fall all season wilf.
since the semi final, as a team they have only followed the game plan once v cats. as you say once on the park then its up to the players to do this.
if not then this points to me as being more likely to being disharmony in the camp, going back to andy hay leaving with no full explanation- was this the start of things? was he our attack coach?
wotever we all hurt as you do wilf but this diary galvanises a large number of fc faithful, never may it end.
