The thread isn't about how likely it is.

Yeah I know parking would be a nightmare. Leeds somehow manage though in a similar situation! I just think the area itself would be a great place to build a game day atmosphere rather than just turn up and go.
Plus, it would be ironic if they built it on "Pearson" Park!
Other than that, probably Costello or Pickering Park are the only other two areas left, unless they built on Springhead Park Golf Course.

| Elland Road....they need the money, we'll get 45,000 season ticket holders when we win the Challenge cup and Super League titles on the trot for the next 10 seasons.
Oh btw this is more likely to happen.

| There is land near Kingswood/Dunswell area.
I would model it on Doncasters stadium, smashing little stadium that, I would go for 18000 capacity.

| The only location that would be viable and in keeping with it's west Hull tradition would be Costello .

Is Pearson Park not in West Hull?

| Pearson park would never be big enough for a stadium with a few car parking spaces! I'd say Costello, Pickering Park or even off clive sullivan way. Plenty of space and accessible. Never happen but i would 100% prefer our own stadium similar to halliwell jones, langtree and salfords ground to a certain extent. Can't beat a standing venue, adds more atmosphere!

That's a shame. I think a ground right in the heart of the student area would see a boost in crowds and match day experience (all the bars in walking distance).
Leeds seem to manage with a stadium with not much parking or access.

The type of ground would improve match day experience. Atmosphere has never been great to be honest at the KC. A newer version of boulevard would be great, part standing part seating. Standing sections improve match day atmosphere IMO. A stadium in that location wouldn't boost crowds as much as you think. Our location now is great. Right inbetween anlaby road and prinny ave bars! Prinny ave is packed on matchdays anyways never mind including people that go down anlaby road! Not only is the KC in between plenty of pubs it's surrounded by housing so a boost in crowds may be unlikely. A boost in crowds would come from cheaper prices and we are in a predicament where we can't afford to lower prices due to rental charges at the KC. A community stadium or an owned stadium would be ideal. Part standing stadiums reduce costs and technically can have a smaller less costly venue and still have attendances up to 20,000.!

| Pearson Park! Love to see them try to get that past the Avenues and Pearson Park Residents Association. They're rottweilers! Having said that, one bloke down the Avenues has a train line in his garden which was once a full-sized football pitch, and the old Hull tennis club used to be down Westbourne, so the sports theme is fitting. It's a Conservation area, though, so you'd have a job.
What about YPI or the Rugby Union club on Chants? Not many pubs, though. Or why not back to the Boulevard site? Has the school idea been shelved yet?

I know the residents around the old Boulevard site have concerns over the extra traffic the new school is going to add to the area, So you'd have the same problem as the avenues.
