Yeah just seems the way Gentle doing it at the minute and Whiting does make a craking impact when he comes on, he's made some massive bone crunching hits this season

| Yeaman only just missed out Friday so will feature in the derby and Wade should be back but not certain. Plus a possible doubt over Horne. Assuming all are fit:-
McKinnon
Sharp
Martin
Yeaman
Briscoe
Horne
Seymour
Lynch
Houghton
O Carroll
Manu
Tickle
Whiting
Aspinwall (prop)
Bowden
Turner
Ellis
Tough call with Yeaman/Turner???
Also not sure Pitts should come in ahead of Green/Kent.

Aspinwall

Moa/Pitts
Give Yeaman an extra couple of days and play him on Monday.'"
I'd say he's more likely to give McKinnon an extra couple of days than Yeaman

Horne
Sharp
Martin
Yeaman
Briscoe
Ellis
Seymore
Lynch
Houghton
O'carroll
Manu
Tickle
Aspinwall
Pitts
Bowden
Whiting
Turner
I'd save McKinnon for Monday. Doubt we will see Moa until the cup game at the earliest.

Personally I think it's too big an occasion to throw Green and Kent in. It would only be their second game, both having less than 30 minutes of game time.
Pitts does have 40+ SL appearances, most of which in front of decent crowds at Headingley, so he should be able to cope with the expectation better, IMO

This is true, plus he only played 40 mins on Saturday which may suggest he did so with playing in the derby in mind?

Wouldn't play Yeaman, make sure he's fully fit for the Hudds game.
Would start Ellis as I feel his kicking game will be crucial. Horne will also offer a change of pace from the bench.
Aspinwall at prop for this game to add some steel there.

Can't understand why people are saying play McKinnon but save Yeaman. Surely McKinnon's injury is more likely to flare up again than Yeaman's. Yeaman was in the squad last week and will now be fully fit, unlike McKinnon who has an injury that could happen again if he is not 100%

Because McKinnon adds something extra that we don't get from the alternatives. Obviously, though, if he isn't 100% then I don't think we should risk him considering that we have Hudds x2, Wigan and Leeds coming up over the next few weeks.

McKinnon has a groin strain, very risky. Yeaman has a slight infection in his foot that didn't quite heal in time for last Friday, no risk whatsoever. I know what your saying about McKinnon but I could also see him having a brain explosion in the derby and costing us

Or providing that bit of flair and class to get us a try!

Yeaman
Briscoe
Horne
Seymour
Lynch
Houghton
O'Carroll
Manu
Tickle
Aspinwall

Whiting

Moa or Bowden

Use Aspinwall to spell the props when he comes back on. Whiting to cover 13. Eliis in case McKinnon or Horne breakdown. The we have Pitts,Green,Kent and Bowden fresh for Hudds.

I would give McKinnon longer unless 100% right. I am not a fan of bringing Yeaman back in for Turner on the left as I think Turner has done some things that Yeaman doesn't/can't do in his spell at left centre. However I would rest Martin as he made a couple of defensive errors against Bradford but more so because he has been struggling with successive head knocks - plenty of games to play in the next few days. I expect Yeaman will be given his auto-place in the left centre which would see Turner move to the right (unfortunate for him IMO).
Doubt Moa will be back so it's between Green and Kent for the last bench spot. Pitts must play due to his relative level of experience at SL level - we were too inexperienced on the bench against Bradford but survived it just.
Tactically with Ellis at 6 I would kick early and long and make KR work it out from their line. There are question marks over their forwards' stamina but not over their power so best to be playing at their end of the field as much as possible. If we manage to get the go forward required (and it is an IF with the forwards that are missing) I expect us to spread the ball a fair bit and attack their centres and Dobson in particular.
