Quote: FC Wembley 08 "It's annoying for me also as i work Sundays, that's now 3 consecutive Sundays i have to get holidays for!!

I would have thought Sunday lunchtime is better on your behalf than taking 3 kids to a late night Friday game.

Because Sky would then move fixtures from Sunday to Friday/Saturday and that would be alot more regular than they currently do!!

I can't think why. If anything it will attract a bigger away following and the weather should be good. 13k plus for me but that will depend on result at Salford IMO.

Somebody had to be moved. It would have annoyed Leeds fans aswell so i won't make a big deal of it as long as i'm there.

I'll go with a guess at 14,168'"

Have booked holidays from Sat morning to accomodate the Friday fixture, so double screwed there.

Agree with you on the moving them more issue if we went to a Sunday home fixture (getting used to the sunshine on match days)

Can not really see the Giants bringing a bumper crowd, as I said start of half term.

When do you usually see Leeds matches moved from thier prefered Friday, not very..

Reckon they figures will be bumped up to 10,500 for good measure or will the board notice that it is half term and put out an offer for tickets.

Time will tell...

That's unlucky, but happens i'm afraid. It's going to happen to almost everyone though i'm afraid. It's not really possible to book a holiday without missing one game. On a positive note you will still be able to watch the game when on holiday thanks to Sky!!

Quote: the-machine "Agree with you on the moving them more issue if we went to a Sunday home fixture (getting used to the sunshine on match days)'"
It would be a nightmare. It's never going to suit everyone but at least on a Friday night people can plan for thing pretty much 90% of the time. On a Sunday you can never really plan anything until a couple of weeks before the game. This would have been a worse situation on your part as;
1. If we played Sundays, you'd have missed the game anyway due to your holiday.
2. You wouldn't have been able to really book your holiday until now, potentially missing out on a deal you may have got.

Quote: the-machine "Can not really see the Giants bringing a bumper crowd, as I said start of half term.'"

Don't think this really matters. If anything, that may improve the crowd as kids aren't at school. Most holidays tend to be booked in the 'six week holiday' period IMO. As i say, more Hudds fans will travel on a Sunday then a Friday night due to work etc.....

Quote: the-machine "When do you usually see Leeds matches moved from thier prefered Friday, not very..'"

Never, but that's another issue. Well once this season IIRC.

Quote: the-machine "Reckon they figures will be bumped up to 10,500 for good measure or will the board notice that it is half term and put out an offer for tickets.'"

They have no reason to 'bump up' or lie about the figures, that's never in the interest of the club as it simply costs us more. I think they'll know full well that it's half term and i'm sure there will be offers as always but surely, on your theory, if people are on holiday then they can't go anyway.

Quote: the-machine "Time will tell...'"

It will...
I know you are clearly annoyed at the fixture change, and everyone feels the same at some point in every season but i do think that claiming that it will be our lowest league crowd of the season is ridiculous.. IMO
We have approximately 10/11k Passholders/Walk up 'Home' supporters at every game and as i say, Hudds will travel in bigger numbers due to Sunday and current performances/league position.
It really can be 15k plus but that is maybe a little optimistic. Over 13k defo but 14k plus for me!!

Requested the Friday off but now Im on a night shift on the Saturday so will have to fall into and out of bed very sharpish but I'll be there. If you see anyone sleeping in the South stand at halftime it will be me.

Think it depends entirely on the Salford game, another win and that would be 4 good performances in a row (a rarity during Agar's tenure!) and people will start to dream of better things.

The pressure has been reduced on Agar since the easter weekend, but you feel that it will only take a defeat or 2 to bring the doom back.

Sadly have to agree but it dont half make it a sod to be a season ticket holder.

Moving all games to a Sunday would result in far more disruption over a full season. For every game televised (some of which are at short notice, like this Hudds game), any Sunday game would be moved to a Friday / Saturday. At least when you know the the vast majority of the games are on a Friday, if Sky want to screen it, its a rarity for it to be moved.

As a matter of interest, why is the Quins game at some scheduled for Sunday 12th June?

The rovers game on Good Friday was always down as a mid day kick off.

The Saints game was down to be on th Bank Holiday Monday from the start of the season.

Only the Hudds game has been changed at relatively short notice.

Indeed, however I'm pointing out that not all televised games are Friday night and our Friday games are also potentially going to be moved
