Given our squad I would agree.

Sign injury prone players and you have a ready made excuse for failure

| I personally wouldnt class it a success, but this is what i predict will happen, and will happen the season after, as a club we are going nowhere butmid-table, we should never have been in this position, after 2006 we should have kicked on and broke into the top 2/3 and stayed there, not gone into freefall, as we have done, we should (after Sharp) gone and got a top class coach, paid top dollar for one, but no, not FC, we went and promoted the guy who learnt his trade under the 2 coaches who had got the sack!!! Warrington great example, after Cullen put Lowes in, wasnt working so went out and got Tony Smith a proven top coach!! and where are they now?
Off field, we are a great success, but on the pitch where to us it matters the most, it just isnt happening, and as far as i can see, it wont happen with the coaching set up, thats in place now!

| If we had played a better brand of rugby all season I would have accepted anywhere in the 8 as good progress. The turgid crap which has been served up on too many occasions makes it so I wouldn't be hapy regardless of where we finish. I think we have secured our position by investing in a triumverate of quality players and not being as crippled by injuries as in previous seasons. The style of play, in my opinion shows no improvement.

I think that if we get into the play-offs and win a match the season would be a success, but it doesn't matter where in the 8 we finish.
It would be a failure if we were to finish 4th or 6th and lose both play-off matches.

Really don't get this. Wigan, Warrington, Saints and Leeds all have comfortably better squads than us. The position we are in is probably about where we should be. The way we have gotten there is less than impressive though.
