I know it's flawed, but over a season I reckon a lot of anomalies would even themselves out.

Saints & leeds are helped by being the standard top 2 teams so even when away you get a lot more part time supporters turning up to those games.

It would be interesting to see 'Official' figures for away fans attendance. Still to finish 4th on last seasons showing is still some going.

You also have to take into account freebies given out at certain games as well as other influences.

I don't disagree, but when official total attendances are often disputed/ met with disbelief, the chances of getting accurate away numbers is pretty remote.

Also you need to take matchdays into consideration. Some people just cannot make lancashire for a friday night kick off. Other teams benefit from being very close to a number of clubs hence skewing the results.

All in all it is a well put together bit of research and scored well.

The methodology!

Like someone said, Saints are one of the biggest home games of the season for many clubs, but they often bring less then several teams to CP, e.g. Wire, Wigan, Leeds, Hull (obviously) have all brought more at different points.

Just a silly thing really (which must have taken someone a lot of time to do!
