44592_1267285924.jpg With typical under-statement, Saints coach Mick Potter said: "Sean Long didn't surprise me. We all know how good he is and he should be happy with the way he went." That could be translated as, "damn him, damn, damn him, the little ...":d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_44592.jpg |

Things won't change here for a long while, when Long gets here I am prepared for a player revolt of some sort, Long isn't afraid to speak his mind and when he sees how we will want him to change his way of playing all hell will break loose.'"
Im sure that will happen !
In fact I wouldnt be surprised If Sharp sits there watching us get beat every week with the warm knowledge that every loss is another step closer to him taking the helm !!!

| Well said Martin we have to stand together as supporters and see this through. We have seen a lot worse but that does not make it all OK!
I tend to think though that Mr Agar will be here at the start of next season. I also expect O'Meley and Co to come over and bang a few heads together. . They are being kept up to speed with the behaviour of our current players and I expect them to be saying soon what they will be doing when they get here! By what we are hearing from folks near the bench yesterday and what we saw when Thorman was taken off discipline is at an all time low. I would not be surprised if O'Meley is not aiming to get here early for that very reason.
Sadly if that is going to happen, then now is the time to get a new coach in place, then with leaders on and off the park we could just be a good team again. otherwise we could just loose another season!

We must galvanise as fans, line up almost arm in arm, and see this through. I honestly believe that if Agar isn't pushed after the next defeat then he will jump, we need to be ready to support whoever comes in, yes even if that IS Jon Sharp.
Forever FC, FC Forever.'"
Well said Standee

So is o'meley some kind of champion of good behaviour all of a sudden. Why aren't the current overseas players doing anything about it if those coming in are suddenly going to? Why should it be down to teh players to enforce discipline?

We all have to grow old but we don't have to grow up: |

| I wonder what the thoughts would be regarding certain players and the coaching staff if relegation was an issue come the end of the season ? Lets see a couple of years down the line about that one, it may just be too late ! Seems to me that every other team involved in this competition has moved forward except one....... FC

I don't agree, Bradford have gone nowhere, likewise Wakefield, Salford, is it a surprise they are all coached by people who had some tenure at FC, I suggest not.

I don't doubt it mate, a bit like Swain did when certain players were arriving drunk for training (if arriving at all, and when arriving driving whilst drunk and without a liscense)

The biggest disappointment for me is that the club off the field has never been in a better position with ticket sales, merchandising etc but on the field is another matter and ranks alongside some of the worst teams we have seen perfomance wise.
I am sick to the back teeth of hearing how well the club is doing off field yet they just do not seem willing to deliver a product on the pitch that the fans and sponsors deserve.
As always I will be at the KC although Cas was the last time I will be travelling as I can think of more important and enjoyable things to waste my money than that dross.

Who's keeping these signings up to speed then? Surely not Agar as that would just be an admission of his failure and weakness - despite the near visionary status that Fitzgibbon and co have bestowed on him in their initial interviews about why they're coming here! If it's the current Aussies as someone else has said why can't they deal with it or why do they believe the new guys can? I'm sure you're right but it's a totally weird situation.
Really only the coach can sort it. Agar has to drop the players he's referring to and play anyone from the reserves or the academy with the right attitude. Or just pack his bags of course and take Sharp et al with him.

We are, of course, assuming Agar is picking the team, and not certain people in the board room.

This keeps coming up, and while not wanting to dismiss it out of hand I can't think of a single reason why anyone on the BOD would even [iwant[/i to get involved in picking the team.
What would be the point?
