We've known about this for a while of course but it's still a weird signing.

If he can stay out of trouble (big if) and if we can make a couple of impressive NRL signings then I'm relatively OK with it, at least prepared to see how he goes. Time will tell. Little point in hand-wringing as he's signed now

I'm OK with his signing providing we sign a line breaking centre with one of our quota spots.

A fullback who can play 6 and another forward would be nice.

A signing I was hoping wouldn't actually come through, but it is what it is.
Absolute clown off the pitch but I can't deny he always appears to give 100% on it. He's been at the very top of the game and I'm sure he has an awful lot that he can pass onto our younger players (rugby related of course!).
Think it just puts more pressure on the remaining signings, mainly quota ones, to be of a much higher standard. For the sake of the team next year and also keeping the fans on side.

We didn't sign Stewart because of his DA allegation but it's alright to sign someone who has assaulted in the past, been banned for drug abuse and been banned from driving OPL and driving dangerously but it's alright he's a proven winner on the field so it doesn't matter.
He might prove to be a useful signing but with his track record this signing smacks of double standards imo.

Already been covered but this just reminds me of so many of the later Hetherington era signings like Long, Thorman, Gleeson, Calderwood etc. We couldn’t afford top players so try to get players on the way out. He’s been a brilliant player but not the player he was just don’t see what he offers over 2 years apart from fitting our obviously limited budget.

I don’t disagree that he could possibly be a good squad player. He can play wing, centre and fullback at a good level and would have been very handy for us to have this year but I’m convinced he’s been brought in to be a starting centre.

There's only so many times you can claim to be a reformed character.

Disappointed with this signing mainly because of the above. His behaviour will be scrutinized just as much as his form on the field which says a lot about his character. Anyhow it's been done and dusted time to move on.

Can’t say I’m over the moon with signing Zak, but it does make sense in terms of experience and winning mentality. We’re pushing our youth and he’s one of the most successful outside backs in the comp.

Even if it gives Moy and Martin an edge in the long run, it will be worth it.

Let's be honest, we've only signed him because he'll be one of mylers mates. Garbage and past it now so will be even worse In 2 years. Waste of a shirt but just the latest in a long line of those. I presume he'll have sorted a lift to training out

I think we've signed Holmes to drive him to training.

It’s a hell of a winners haul by him….think his off-field antics have now overshadowed what a player he was/could be…personally wouldn’t have touched him with bargepole but he is here now and let’s see how he goes for us before we really stick the boot in
