If Wigan adopt the spoiling tactics and interference at the play of the ball i hope he does anything but let if flow. Get em penalised. Also walking forward off the mark into the markers as they play the ball. If we get over the top of them and get them on the back foot then we need to be allowed to take advantage of that, not allow them to slow us down for the sake of not 'letting the game flow'.

Just refereeing to the rules will do me,fair for both sides, my pet peeve this season is the disparity between the tap restart , some refs wait for all players to be onside, some not, and some change within the same game! First time in a long time I've seen touch judges on the field at Saints, usually they can't even run the line properly!

Unfortunately, letting things flow where Wigan are concerned means every tackle is round the head and accompanied with a rake and laying on. We can deal with that as we did in the semi last year but as a rugby fan it won't look good on telly at all.

Quote: Paul22 "Weather reports like 1% Accurate at moment for Next Saturday .
48hours before get a decent idea. If then that's pushing it
we found the MET office forecasts to be very accurate across the whole of Europe.
currently 10% chance of precipitation, max of 22C with approx 6-8mph winds and cloudy with 50-60% humidity so shouldn't be overly draining comparatively and not a sweat box in the ground for fans.
www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weat ... /gcpv39krt
Still concerned about where the heads of the players/coach are after the Hudds game, it couldn't have being any worse preparation wise, Wigan will be full of confidence after their demolition of Salford.
Just hope we can pull one out the bag as we've been rocks and diamonds all season.
Wigan likely team
Tomkins, Davies, Gelling, Gildart, Burgess, Williams, Leuluai, Nu'usala, McIlorum, Sutton, Farrell, Bateman, O'Loughlin. Subs - Clubb, Tomkins, Tautai, Isa

What a pity. I came on here hoping for some good to and fro about our final and the first thing I read is this one eyed codswallop. Think I'll leave it there though I'm sure most on here are better educated about the sport than you appear to be.

Discipline is key
You could see from the kick off in last years final that discipline had been drilled into the players. We cleared the ruck quickly and didnt give away too many penalties
More of the same on Saturday please.

We can't afford to have Washbrook AND Connor on the bench, Connor is back up goal kicker and has being more effective than Griffin for the majority of the season. It might sound harsh on Griffin given his later season form but we don't have the luxury of leaving a back on the bench potentially for most of the game, not IF Washbrook is there which is almost 100% certain.
If you have Connor on the bench and Griffin in the backs then who misses out?

Presume we'll be using last season's build up as our blueprint.
Nice to have no injury/disciplinary/team selection distractions nor the 'but Hull have never won at Wembley question' this season.
I think the Huddersfield match will already be long forgotten and our 17 will be just fully focussed on Saturday. They also know they'll have our absolute backing throughout the game.
I'm quietly confident and can't wait.

| I'd rather have Connor or Griffin on the bench then Thompson, if we have another forward I'd go for Fash.
Team will be the same as the semi.

Absolutely - same team and subs as the Semi-Final :Connor Green Bowden and Washbrook the bench. Griffin has been our most consistent performer over the last 6 weeks. Mahe Fanoa owes his team and the fans a massive performance on Saturday - been under par the last three games he has played!

Mahe will deliver. He's a big game player, remember he was instrumental in both of our tries last year. Have faith!!
