The word “assistant" gives it away, he won't be running things he'll be working under the direction of the head coach. I think it's generally accepted that the appointment of Coach Cartwright is a good one so his judgement should be trusted. He's appointed the current England assistant, who would you suggest as a better option?

Left in 2020 amd no one can argue we haven't got significantly worse since he left, even under Agar, things didn't seem as bad as this. The last two assistant were Gene and Purtill,one is unemployed, the other was managing Leighs women's team.

Yeah, but there are reasons for that, one was Radford and the other has been poor recruitment by McNamara this year, who I think is a massively overrated as a coach.

Catalans lost Pearce and Tomkins last winter and as we are finding creative players who are leaders are very hard to find right now, so it's not surprise they have dropped off. They also have halfback who isn't playing much at the moment...
