| Can you imagine Man City and Liverpool giving a crap about what teams like Port Vale and Gillingham think when it comes to how the structure of the PL should look? SL has to decide how it wants to go, it is the pinnacle of the sport in this country, and the lower leagues will get the trickle down of any positive impact the NRL buying SL will have

Problem with letting all clubs decide is they all want different things, a Huddersfield fan wants something different to a Hull fan or a Batley fan etc. The game can't agree a way forward when the clubs are trying to pull it in 36 different directions. I have to say though, the Beaumont/wood coup seems like a complete disaster so far, talk of scrapping Catalan/Toulouse, the ex chair of the RFL suggesting Bradford are being shoehorned in and the Batley statement doesn't fill people with confidence. The NRL are probably letting this all unfold in public whilst quietly going about their business with the clubs they want for their 10 team comp

Salford CEO doing an interview live on Sky tonight. Be an interesting watch... interesting that he said their new owners are not rugby people at all and based in LA and Switzerland. Their only interest is in the site and what they can develop on it. I can't see how that can be good for Salford or the game.

Salford CEO doing an interview live on Sky tonight. Be an interesting watch... Jesus….CEO….i wouldn’t trust him with a school raffle, the “new owners” totally had their pants down. They aren’t “RL men” and have other investors behind them in Switzerland and USA…want the ground and surrounding area, had a meeting with players and questioned loyalty…CEO said all debts was cleared but admitted they aren’t and was ill advised. All he kept saying was cutting cloth accordingly.Absolute joke and the Rowley popped up looking smug.Aitkin playing last match,Cross won’t play again and in talks with Sts ( if he turns up) and Brieley sticking boot in as well.Fair play to Carney and Wilkin…they didn’t mince words and effectively went for him

Did I hear right and he said that they get so much money and have to spend that accordingly and once it’s gone that’s it per month

| some of the blame lies with the RFL, seems they were that desperate to see Salford taken over they never saw the red flags from these property developors, did they actually do a fit and proper new owners report?

| Thought the Salford CEO looked like he was caught between a rock and a hard place. He effectively had to go out there and act as spokesman for invisible owners to explain a situation which doesn't seem to have any structured plan to it other than a 'let's make a killing and make a tidy buck out of this'!
I'm not sure even he believed what was coming out of his mouth through the majority of that interview, let alone Carney, Wilkins and the watching public! It makes our situation last year look like a positive walk in the park!
From a RL perspective, this entire situation stinks to high hell. For anyone who loves our sport, whoever you support, this is highly depressing viewing. We're watching one of the game's historic clubs slowly go down the plug hole, I just thank God it's not us in this sink hole.

If the interview was supposed to put Salford supporters' minds at rest I doubt very much that it did. If anything more alarm bells ringing.
