| He hasn't placed many games for us but when he does he shows he's got pace, great support and a good defender. Too get the most out of Shaul we need to play his despite the lack of game time, you can't get a world class player without playing him. Just look at Lineham before the season he had 1/2 games something like that now look at him? been tipped for England already at such a young age another example would be Tomkins he got played for Wigan once or twice when they had a player injured and since then they've never turned back, England #1 maybe Shaul could be the same in a few years if we gave him the chance to play? also Ben Crooks who would of though he'd cement a centre place before the season started? Not me. So basically what I'm saying is that you've got to have trust in someone to make them a better player.
This is just a short paragraph of what I could say.

| Just wondering why some people seem to be questioning whether Gentle will 'trust' Shaul when his record at the club clearly shows he has no problem playing youngsters.

| Still not seen him play due to work commitments on the 3games he has played, but from highlights I'm impressed and excited about his pace and footwork. I think him and miller will like up well 2gether and work off each other sounded like they were starting to do this on Friday. I'm looking forward to seeing I'm play on Sunday against the dobbins.
The future's bright the future's black and white!

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Needs to practice 3 hours a day catching high balls and dribbled balls - practice with loud speakers booming boos and abuse at him. PRACTICE like an Olympian and put on 4kgs of upper body muscle. He will win LT as well.
The Brit who won shooting Gold in London Olympics shot 50,000 practice shots in the 3 months before the event and his Dubai Prince trainer took his mobile phone away from him for 3 months as well , saying he need only think of 1 thing for 3 months - GOLD - no distractions.
Jamie needs to focus for 3 weeks on 1 thing only - his development to become a Cup Winner'"
He probably had a lot of practice in his youth. Unfortunately for Shaul, when he should have been perfecting his technique under the high ball, some nugget was playing him at hooker.

| Keep playing him. He'll improve with the game time he gets. Sure he can practice things on the training ground but it doesn't compare to the pressure and intensity of a real match.
As far as I'm concerned, if we want the kid to be our number 1 fullback for years to come, he needs to be playing every time Shannon is injured. McDonnell has a year to go, which means Shaul has a year to learn the game better and show he's got what it takes.

| With the news of Shannon this weekend and news on Horne non-existent it is currently Shauls position to lose.

His attacking play n instinct seem top drawer. One of the most exciting potential talents to come through, his initial impact is probably more than Tom lineham or crooks.
That said his 3 games have been against wakefield-in a flat half paced Easter Monday game, cup against a poor lower league side, n against a team that on the night were probably at their seasons worst.
Not knocking the kid but premature to say Wembley spots his for me like some.
Yet to see him really tested in defence, not seen his link play as in launching an attack for others because his games have been simple not tight affairs were defences have needed unlocking.
Rovers will be the perfect game for him I think, he'll be tested in every department,atmosphere/pressure wise will be as good a build up as he'll get to prepare for Wembley.
That said Horne will be fit I think n I think gentle will go with him and I'd agree with that. Hornes big game experience, excellent defence, solidity in the role n the opportunity to have another pivotal player on the field will be to hard to resist.

Not really seen him fully operating yet as the 'third pivot'. In terms of style think Shaun Briscoe in his pomp when he used to put himself right in the centre of the attacking line and just push through hoping for the pass off the half break. That said Shaul has after burners that Briscoe, although quick, never had.
