| Looking at the squad we have and the way they are now playing I dont think we need him. Plus as others have said he had a purple patch but has since been distinctly average at best.
I think we would do better using cap space elsewhere in the squad.

| Strange timing. You think Salford initially, but even if it all goes well there you'd think it'd take a couple of seasons at least before they go from merely 'ambitious' to 'big club'. And even then, why now, rather than the end of the season?
Big 4 right now, IMO - Leeds, Wigan, Warrington. Then you can argue about the permenance of the shift in power between Hudds and Saints. If there's an element of flattery, then Hull and Catalans aren't completely laughable inclusions. Do any of them need him right now though? Leeds' injuries and run of defeats might mean they want a fresh face possibly?
I've never thought he was massively special, tbh.

Spot on on the Top 4 - could be any of those - Certainly does not include Salford.

| Thrre's something a bit Danny Nicklas-esque in his comments about Bradford not being good enough for him and and only a top 4 club will do. If he really is staking himself out in 'come and get me' way and risking himself being in limbo if no-one does smacks of breathtaking arrogance. Of course, if someone's made him an offer it's a very different situation although his comments remain unsavoury and he'll look a right tit if it turns out to be Salford.
He must have been approached. And by a performing club it must be assumed.

| I really can't see this one, if somehow it does transpire that he comes i certainly hope it's not at the expense of Westerman.
Nice to know R*vers are aiming high with Washbrook though

| Whitehead is a good player but is to inconsistent in his performances. Maybe due to not happy at Bradford who knows. But i'd like to think were in for him, but wouldn't want to lose Westerman though.

| Surly Slaford even with the big bucks of there owner aren't going to be spending to full cap anyway, isn't it still upper maximum limit and you can only spend that if you income allows that which would be through gates, sponsorships etc, Salford get about 3.5k gates don't they so there is no way they will be able to get everyone they linked too, not initially anyway!

The 'percentage of turnover' rule was scrapped years ago. Any club can now spend maximum cap if they have someone willing to stump up the cash. And Dr. FlashCash has already stated that he intends to ignore the cap in any case.

Oh thanks for that, didn't know they'd scrapped that, thought they'd brought that in so that clubs couldn't spend too much and get themselves into trouble like wigan nearly did in the 90's and obviously Bradford have too!

| Would be a welcome addition. Young, England Knights, decent player. Would be good replacement for Tickle and Galea.

| Not sure he is worth paying £100k for.
Both him and Bateman were impressive last season but seem to have lost their way a bit this year.

To be fair, Bateman's been injured pretty much all season, I think he had an op just before the season started and he still isn't quite right.
Whiting, Westerman and Ellis are all easily capable of playing 80 minutes in the back row and with Pitts, Kent and Starling all back rowers are well I'm not sure it needs to be a massive priority for next season, since Galea and Tickle have hardly played anyway.

| I think we need a beast of a prop rather than another young second rower.
