To be honest i was talking more about taking a player who we deemed not good enough and then you developing them into better players and proving us wrong,hence the word blossom.Briscoe was already a top player whose career basically moved sideways unlike as i say Josh Hodgson who you have indeed developed

Never played for Rovers - that was the initial plan, iirc from an interview with him, but Hull wouldn't release his registration (obviously this was decades before the Bosman ruling) and Rovers didn't want to pay a fee for a player at the end of his career. So he became the coach.

As a trickle head the other way (Watts, Galea, the lad Abdull), is the 43 being presented as mitigation by scale or a kind of revenge for our parasitism (as I've seen it charmingly put )?
