| Warrington missed out due to an incorrect guess from the officials. Burgess must be seething.

And two missed kicks at goal....
Bad reffing decisions happen, I'm sure many of us weren't moaning after Gansons howler at magic all those years ago for Chris greens try

| I don't buy the theory Warrington lost due to tys call, yes it shouldn't have been try and the rule needs to change. But let's say it's disallowed, whose to say Rovers don't score 3 more trys and win the game comfy. Warrington missed two kicks and were camped on Rovers line for the last 10 minutes, they had there chances and failed.

| Congratulations to Rovers on reaching the Grand Final. Quite an achievement four years after finishing bottom.
They have done three things we haven't - signed quality players, got them in top condition and kept them fit. That's why they are heading to Old Trafford and we finished next to bottom.

Yep, shows things can be turned around quite quickly, they haven't gone out either and spent big on transfers, getting great value from their players, smart domestic signings complimented with good overseas players. They haven't stood still either, they make tough decisions releasing Kennedy and not keeping Linnett fir example.
A couple of injury risky players signed have really worked out for them too, gives me a bit of hope.
Not convinced it's got longevity in it, but it's certainly working for them right now.

| I do look at how Hadley is playing right now and wonder how Jordan Lane would look in the current Rovers side.

| Another thing that frustrates me is how different the games are reffed during big games, 3 games no yellow or red cards, there were incidents in all those games that would have been yellows earlier in the season.
It's so much better to watch.

| Last nights game showed two things
1. Sign quality players and in pivotal positions, create a disciplined, structured team with a genuine desire and attitude to work hard individually and as a team on all aspects including fitness you will get rewards.
2. The ‘Try / No Try’ call needs to be binned without hesitation. If the onfield official hands it over to the VR it should be the VR alone that makes the decision based on the video evidence. To hand it over as a try or no try first just makes a mockery of the game. If they hand it over, they clearly don’t know for certain, hence why they’ve sent it up, so how can they state try/no try before it goes up? Only if it’s clear a try has been scored should it be awarded not simply based on a ‘guess’ by the ref.

Exactly this, the players fight for their spot in the team every week nothing is a given, Jack broadbent wasn’t getting a look in neither was brown, both played in a semi
All I ever wanted as a fan was desire and genuine effort and above all fitness that lasted longer than 50 minutes
We have that at the moment and we’re taking nothing for granted
Hungry backrooms hungry changing rooms mixed with a bit of luck can take a team a long way

| Although Sam Burgess has made decent progress as a rookie coach in his first year, Warrington still look to me like a collection of talented individuals rather than a fully integrated team.
Their game plan last night, as it has for the bulk of the year, seemed to revolve around hoping either Williams or Dufty will create a piece of magic in the middle along with Ashton's pace for finishing. It nearly came off last night but rover's scrambling defence saw them home.
Dodgy try notwithstanding, I thought the result was about right. Rovers overall teamwork and organization was the difference in the end. They work hard for each other and play until the end which is what most supporters ask of their team, and which has been sorely lacking in our side these past 3-4 years, which is probably the biggest bugbear we have amongst our many failings.
Maybe in four years time it will be us preparing for a Grand Final, who knows, but we need to start making some smart decisions across the board for that to happen. Fingers crossed the fightback starts right now for us.
