| The club won't replace him as it would be near impossible to get a player to do what he does. Still a massive loss. When was the last time one if the other big clubs lost one of their best players to s rival club?

Balance? If Manu stays on this 'astronomical' contract and it costs us a decent front rower where's the balance in that? Sorry, I just don't see how he's that important to us.
I want him to stay but not to the detriment of our recruitment in more needed areas.

I'd rather he stay, however with Ellis coming in and I would imagine a number of others I still trust in Gentle and McRae to assemble an improved squad for next season and beyond. To many on here get all upset when players leave this club, you would have thought we were dissembling a title winning squad, well we aren't.'"
and many on here as soon as we get wind of a player 'may' be leaving start the old, 'oh we dont need him that much, he isnt any better than so and so, he isnt our best player'.
He is our best player at the moment, and if we are to build a 'title winning squad', we need the likes of him.

Look on the bright side we could still have Agar and the wicked witch still in change.

Balance in terms of the squad and type of player, i don't worry about the money as we don't know who gets what.

I knew we'd agree on something eventually.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

We've seen how we've struggled without Moa, O'Carrol and O'Meley, as happy as I'am with Pitts and Bowden neither are should be in our fully fit 17 yet.
We need two quality props, would someone like Johnson be good enough for that role? I doubt it.

So you've ignored the comment were I said I'd rather he stay. The thought of him, Ellis, Tickle and Westerman as our back row options is mouth watering. But I'm not going to get all upset if he goes, I've seen better players than him leave before. I just believe that we'll have a better squad next year and we'll be challenging for honours with or without him. You may disagree.

I agree. I think he is our best player and I really don't see a like for like replacement for him. other teams know what his threat is and that's why they try and put 3 defenders on him. When they dont, we know what he can do.
I will be the most disappointed I have been, with any player leaving us.

This is the point. We'd all love Manu to stay, but there's no purchase in blowing the cap structure on him. We already have a huge chunk of the cap tied up in the back row with Ellis.

Agree with this. I too very much hope he stays because he is quality, but if he wants to play somewhere else be that for more money or other reasons then thanks and good luck Willie. Hull FC will not live or die by Willie's decision whichever way it goes. I hope he decides very soon though one way or the other. And if he does go I look forward to him ripping in for us for the rest of the season. By his own very high standards Willie has been a bit quiet in these last 3 games - not surprising really given what's clearly on his mind.
