We can't knock Agar for signing SL proven players, who we know can play half and hooker, rather then taking a chance on a lower league player who has limited experience in the position and who might not be good enough! Briggs shone because he played in his position, would he have done just as well at hooker? Maybe so, probably not.

If he was that good, he'd've been picked up by now and if he is that good, then there must be off-field reasons why no-one's picked him up.

The logic on here does amaze me at times:

We need a half back. Gareth Moore is a half back. Therefore we need Gareth Moore.

About the same as:

My cat has four legs. My dog has four legs. Therefore my cat is a dog.

Sums us up perfectly again, the masses will be pleased to settle for that

Or possibly the fact that most other clubs are all pretty much sorted for Half Backs so he is not on any ones radar??
