So turns out Liam Knight never shoulder charged Hewitt in the head. Referees made a mistake yet again at the expense of FC. 

The be all and end all is we just need to completely take the referees opinion out of the equation in the first place. Stop the high shots and late hits and don't give them anything to even review. We are our own worst enemy's and if we don't iron this out we'll be sliding down the table in no time.

At least we seem to be better at using our captain's challenge now, I think the one we used at the end of the game was more a case of 'might as well, you never know' whereas the other 2 we got we good calls.

Irrespective of if they made the correct call or not, was still a pretty dumb thing for knight to do, last play of the half right after a scuffle...just wrapping the player up would've done 

We do need to stop giving the refs a decision to make but they need to be held accountable for yet another mistake costing us points, they'll both have a game next week because refs are untouchable and they know it.


With the Leigh farce, Knights NFA, Custs lack of punishment, missed crusher tackles etc... even the Nu Brown joke send off last season it all stinks a bit that we constantly have these things go against us every week, the RFL has even admitted errors with these decisions. I'd love to be on the right end of one of these cock ups but I can't remember the last time we were, maybe Chris Green at magic like 15 years ago

I think we maybe have a reputation for ill discipline from the start of last season and the derby game.


What is ridiculous is that one of the camera angles yesterday showed that Knights shoulder was nowhere near the hudds players head yet was ignored by the VR who seemed to base his decision on the other angle where the players head flexed back.


It was stupid from Knight and possibly worthy of a yellow but 1 penalty point seems to indicate the panel thought not.

He was charged for his red card, given 5 points but 2 removed for being dismissed in the first half

I know but it was really an acknowledgement that there was feck all in it and nothing cust could have done anything about.

They really need to get to grips with these clashes where no one is actually at fault but the defender always gets punished.  Cust did nothing different to morgue, simply going for a loose ball
