Quote: airliebird, runninglate! "Sheer rubbish that imo. That's finding fault were there wasn't any. It was fairly tight when he got it..defence was already coming across. He squeezed in with millimetres to spare..he ran because it was the best option. Tala would of been run out of field easy a man was already covering him.
Griffin in recent weeks has been among our best. Whilst up against good players. Not sure what rationale you're using to make the assumption Gildart will run him ragged
His stats back up he's been no where near as bad as made out for the year as a whole. He makes more metres a carry than even Fonua..with some new found confidence him and Fonua are gonna be keeping Gildart honest as much as anything
Fonua is the concern regarding form currently
Connor is perfect for the bench
Can cover any injury 1 to 7 and is a genuine plan B player who if things are going pear shaped could add something. Could be a luxury if we're winning..but then it won't matter then'"

Think you should watch the replay again if you think it was tight when Griffin received the ball.He should have passed the ball to Talanoa when the Hudderfield wing came to tackle him.Rankin was coming accross but Talanoa would have walked in.
For such a big man his defence is poor and doesnt seem to be improving and he will be our weak link at Wembley if he starts at right centre.
Gildart is currently the most improved player at Wigan with real pace and all the qualities to be a top centre in the game.
There is no doubt in my mind Griffin will be targeted.
I agree that the form of Fonua is a concern but would you leave him out? NO
I like to have four forwards on the bench and think having Connor on the bench is a waste of a bench spot.
Connor for me offers a lot more at right centre than Griffin.
I would be happy to see Griffin on the bench to come on as a replacement second row
My bench would be Bowden,Green,Washbrook,Griifin

Wow!! First of all it was Yeamo and now its Griffin. Get real, Griffin is currently in great form and we don't need to watch the replay to see what happened because it was right in front of us. Why don't you just support the team and the man picking it. He seems to be doing rather a good job at the minute.

We all have our opinions on players.
There are plenty of fans i know and some on here who also think Griffin is a weak link at centre.
He has no guile for a centre
no real pace flat footed.
Passing leaves a lot to be desired
Never gets involved under a high ball
His biggest problem is he cant tackle. Some of his tackling efforts are really poor.Even Salford fans told us of this when he signed.
At least Yeaman had a defence and could tackle.

No doubt the cuddle crew will respond with their usual gusto with just how good Griffin is and how he will be pushing Percival or Watkins for International honours

Bag of nerves already. It felt like destiny last year, which is easy to say in hindsight I suppose. Just not the same now, we've been far too hot and cold this season.

Griffin
More metres
More metres a carry
More clean breaks
More try assists
Less errors than Carlos
Very Similar numbers of carries tackles busts tackles pens missed tackle as Carlos

Carlos is good
Griffin is sh#t . People seeing what they want to cos a few got the idea going but don't watch with their own eyes

Even early on in the season he wasn't nearly as bad as some made out. He had a couple of wretched games (as did the whole team), but he was mostly ok. With ball in hand he has looked one of our most threatening all year. For the last couple of months you could make an argument for him being our best player.

The referee won't have any baring on who wins the game, but for a spectacle I do hope it's not Child. Way too whistle happy. If it is him hopefully he is told just to let things flow.
