| Quote: GEvans75 "The supporters/Gentle have being let down badly by the players, Though I do agree that we seem to lack a game plan.
Holdsworth appears to have not recovered from his head injury.
Miller has being thrown in the deep end without a rudder.
Ellis has not recovered from his injury at Wests and it will only get worse
And we lost Horne when he was playing well
Crookes/Arundel/Galea/Johnson. Poor to average signings and waste of salary cap money.
I'd give Gentle another season, but I'm pretty sure he's gone, shame because Gentle is doing excellent work giving the young players a chance, and young players of real quality in Shaul, Crooks, Lineham.'"
agree on most of the points, but disagree on Ellis, he is currently out due to getting banged in the ribs...that can't be helped and obviously isn't related to his foot injury at Wests

giving youngsters a "chance" when the first choice player is injured hardly constitutes a good coach

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

We all knew Crooks and Lineham were better than Crookes and Arundel.

We have found our level which is 6th -8th just because we play at the KC and can pull crowds of 11,000+ means very little.
This top 4 nonsense spouted by AP was ridiculous and how we will do this do that, it was marketing.
You only need to look at our trophy cabinet to see how big a club we are.

Everyone except gentle. I thought peter sharpe was a master at bringing in average players but gentle is running him close. If we add players like Jordan Thompson then we'll be scraping the bottom of the 8 at best next year

| Tarquin Fuego?
Quote: Tarquin Fuego "When your coach isn't a winner at heart and Gentle is not a winner at heart .
We were a pub team
I coached for a long time and we won 95% of games because winning is a mental state driven by a desire to CRUSH an opposition. Did FC look as though they wanted to Crush Wigan and strangle them until they screamed ? NO

| 2005 challenge cup winners coach sacked soon after
2006 grand finalists coach sacked soon after
2008 challenge cup losers coach sacked
2013 challenge cup losers everyone wants the coach sacked
do we get another coach and spend 2 or 3 years saying wait until he gets his own team only for him to get to a final and be sacked?

| It must be the culture around the club as other teams have a succession of coaches and can still be successful (Saints, Wigan, Leeds).
We need an individual who is going to spark the club to reach it's potential, be that a player or a coach. Rangi could have been the one, but it's looking more likely that it needs a new coach.
I like Peter Gentle, but AP does not have a history of showing patience.
We are one of the few genuine big clubs in Super League (due to our level of support), but on the field we are a mid table side in an average league.

| Sack Gentle and you get another season next year like this or worse, to add to the seasons stretching back to the Agar era. The last regime hangs over the this one like the sword of Damocles and that is the major problem here. We have been promised far too much in recent years and every time it has hit the rocks. BELI3VE was this years buzz word and next year we have KEEPTHEFAITH, its bullshine of the first order. Marketing gone mad and who ever sent the pass info out to arrive on the day of Wembley really needs to have a long look at themselves, that was the only goal we scored that day and it was a home one.
Was Gentle the right man for the job at the time he was appointed, probably not and that was down to AP and his advisors. I did think after Wembley he could maybe survive into next season, I think his days have been numbered for some time as clearly the team are bloody clueless at times. Holdsworth is not the leader we need and Miller has a lot to learn, he may come good given time. A shrewd coach could well have drafted in Horne into the halfbacks tonight and reignite the partnership that was starting to blossom earlier in the season.
I BELI3VE the present regime have one shot left, fail and the whole lot goes down the tube. AP will need to bring in a top coach and a couple of players at least or he faces a slow death with fans staying away in a city of Hull squeezed in the recession. Things are going to get a lot worse and people will be looking at funds harder in the coming months, not just for FC I know but we should be able to hold what we have now with careful, thought ful actions and deeds.............
Please no more buzz words

| To be honest if we can find a chimp that can teach catching and passing we'd be in a better position than we are now.

| Quote: techno "Justin Morgan. I hated the guy when he was at the Dobbs for all the reasons we need???'"
I'm a new writer on here but read regularly. It's sad to see this mighty club falling. For me one the biggest things missing this season is passion. With the players as well as the coach.
Hull is a unique city in that we have two clubs vying for players, fans, sponsors etc. And it's the passion that needs to be instilled in players to get them going. For me I don't see how Gentle can tap into that when he hasn't lived and breathed it. And so many before him failed too.
Techno is right. Justin Morgan would do a fantastic job for the black and whites. He did great things for the red and whites and as we were always hearing it was on a shoe string. He understands Hull and he certainly has the passion that's missing now. Just look how he got the red and whites up for the derbies. Pearson needs to get him back before an Aussue club takes him as there are plenty of jobs floating around the NRL. Fans question on this forum what big name would come here to coach well in these parts Morgan is a big name and half the battle of moving to Hull is won with him as his wife and kids are still here. She's started a business here in player welfare.
Morgan has an affinity with Hull - and unfinished business. I really hope all the whispers about him coming back get louder and louder.
