I heard it on here first a poster mentioned it about him going to Saints (I think) and I said surely that's a mistake and they meam Turner. They commented again and said time will tell or along those lines. Then I heard it again the other day.

I like Sharp and he puts hell of alot of effort in to help the team out and has improved greatly. Before we actually signed him I said we should take a look at him while he was at Harelquins. But as you say, if rumours are true then. Ogre, Manu, Moa, Sharp, Martin, Turner, Ellis and then Briscoe and Tickle the season after next. Is far too much quality to be losing in one season to be able to replace with equal quality or better. I just can't see it. Ellis for Manu, Arundel for Turner/Martin and that's it for now. Don't forget Pitts was meant to be for next season so that's another player off the list for next season.

I actually think we'll be weaker than next season unless big things start to happen.

With the NRL salary going up alot NRL players won't have to come over here anymore to get better deals they can earn alot more staying over there. So the only players you'll get coming over here are them close to ending their careers ie Brent Kite who has been rumoured to be coming to SL along with Roy Asotasi both into their 30's. Or players like Shannon McDonnell who was never a big name at the Knights and was always one of the lowest earners. Gone are the days when the Jamie Lyons, Michael Crockers and Todd Carneys are linked with coming over here (if they make it).
That's why I like what Gentle is doing aiming in signing the best of British youngsters and building for the future. Although losing Moa, Ogre and Manu and replacing them with Watts and Johnson in the same season would be awful imo. It wouldn't be as bad if we brought them in gradually to add to the ranks but to full replace the quality we'll be losing all in one season and expect us the be a stronger team. Well we're just not going to be.

Moa has said he will make his mind up this month, so that will be resolved soon. My gut instinct is that Manu may change his mind (he'd have surely signed for Saints already if the rumoured move was on the cards) and with O'Meley if he comes back and plays well then surely he will be offered another year?

Think you're more optimistic then anything mate, but then again I'm always negative.

I don't think they'll offer Ogre a new contract due to injuries and the fact how many games he's missed and I expect us to sign Kite to replace him. Manu I', 50/50 with I think he may of changed his mind or he's gone to Leeds/Saints and Moa I expect him to go home to be with his wife/girlfriend.

The front row is still a concern for me.

Losing Moa and O'Meley apparently, Lynch has been great but is what 32? O'Carroll has played well in games but has missed plenty too and Bowden I like the look of and was giving him rave reviews before he even made his debut but is only young!
Would loved us to gone out and signed Larne Patrick the kids a beast! Signing Brent Kite would be okay but again he'll only be here for 2 seasons or so.

Anything actually in Brent kite not seen any thing in aussie websites saying he coming to SL
