| Quote: barton baird "Just out of interest, was it a stroll for Warrington against Salford,or did Salford give as good as they got? If so ,there may be some sore Wire bodies as well.'"
Wouldn't say it was a stroll in the park for the Wire yesterday, a lack luster performance in attack probably due to the bad weather. Defense wise we were solid again, everything Salford threw at us we had it covered.
Tony Smith rotated the forwards well, probably expecting a battle with your big guys.
Main thing is the 2 points, still to stop a team scoring a try on a day like yesterday was impressive..

| Quote: GJJ 79 "To be fair, I don't think Salford will have laid down and died for Wire. There will of been big collisions and lots of effort from both teams.
I think if anything its more of a mental thing that we after get over for Monday (injuries aside), which is trying to get yourself up so soon after a derby game.
Unfortunately I think this may be our downfall.'"
More fight shown in the stands apparently.

| Wire have to start favourites due the their form this season but we have home advantage so it's about even imo. The one thing that might go against us that we hard a real tough battle yesterday but we do have fresh faces to bring in so I am hoping for a good game.

you mean 5 drives and a kick which everyone gets on Agars back for lol
they do need to start looking after the ball alot more and start finishing sets with good kicks then the opertunities will come

Five drives and a kick where it's warranted (like in our own half), followed by a more expansive game when we're in the opposition 20/30 would be nice.

| I think we cruised through yesterday's game and I think we had one eye on the Hull game. I don't think we were 100% on form, and we did well to win by that margin without getting out of first gear. I hope we win on monday but would tolerate it if we didn't. Hull FC look useful this year with some decent signings. This will be my only trip to hull this year. Too many goons trying to cause trouble with visiting fans at Hull KR for my liking. So I think I will give next week a miss. Unfortunate that I feel like that but when your coach arrives at craven park and a load of full grown boozed up men in HKR shirts try to storm it and spend the time it takes you to get into the ground trying to cause a fight,it can put you off going back again!

totally agree the ball should be treated like gold dust in your own 40 especially after scoring

No. There are more than the two tactics you know.

I would say going on the tactics employed by Morgan yesterday, your players could be in exactly the same situation with off the ball cheap shots and elbows, head highs etc when you play rovers as your pack is so much better than theirs

| could go either way this
wires performance wasnt the best and wasnt the worst , poor weather conditions made both teams drop ball especially in our own half , but are defence was good only allowing salford to score 2 points was a good effort , but our drop ball didnt help , we didnt need to be great , good teams grind out wins even when they aint playing well and thats what we did ,, as for hull watched the highlights of the derby , you made a few mistakes dropping the ball ect allowing rovers too score , but fought your defence was solid ,
could go either way this imo , i think wire will be favourites only because you came off a hard derby game on friday should be a cracker tho

| If we manage to take out Long early on and keep him quiet we will win the game - he is the dangerman. If we block all the service off going to Long we should be fine if Briers is back this a huge boost for us as before his injuiry him and Myler were proving to be a great partnership in the halves.
Will be a close game that's for sure with some brutal hits hopefully. We will go into the game as favourites due to recent form but Hull have the home advantage - it's got the makings of a classic imo!

| Quote: Wirefan "Why are you guys so sceptical about getting a result v us on Monday?
Your a good side. I don't, as an outsider looking in, understand the negativity?
You do realise that you have Sean Long at 7, who has been a constant thorn in our side for many a year, don't you?
We're good, but we haven't quite hit our straps yet and are awful in the wet. A good side would have beaten us on Friday. Thankfully, they weren't.'"
With the greatest of respect to you and yours here, I doubt that you experience anything like the absolute war that is the two Hull Derby's. Its not about the absolute Physical endeavour that is needed to win these games, but more about the mental strain in the lead up to them and the pressure that the players are put under by the fans in the week leading up to it put it this way, I would have been happy with two points this weekend and I know which two it would have been.
Having said all that have been to Brantingham today and was told by some of our backroom staff that although several players are carrying knocks they are all adament to a man that they want to play, and are desperate to do so! There is a very good team spirit about and I expect Moa to be back he has been told all week he will play on Monday.

| Think the only time Long has been in a team beaten by Wire was when he was at Wigan he always seems to show up against us.
Briers might be back for this one which would be a plus although been hearing he's close to coming back for weeks now, tough game this your unbeaten at home so far could go either way.
