if we spend the full salary cap why does it matter how cheap we get the coach? it means we'll have more moey to spend on players!

It's madness driven by greed on the part of the board. Very short sighted of them. if things don't improve this season under agar then pass sales, merchandise sales, sponsorship and matchday corporates will all go down for next year. The money saved by appointing an unknown will be dwarfed by the amount they'll lose, but maybe being hit in the pocket is the only way they'll realise what needs to be done.

Appointing a new coach is always a risk and the current board have got it wrong on the last 2 occassions by appointing 2 assistant coaches in kear and sharp, neither of whom were good enough. Another couple of years of the club going backwards could set us back for a long time to come. They should have appointed a coach with a proven track record at the highest level

Brown had previously been a manager (Derby County not the equiv. of York City Knights), he was also understudy to an excellent manager in Big Sam (unlike Kear and Sharp) and he also has the experience of his assistant Brian Horton to draw on, who i may add has been a manager on numerous occassions and seen a fair bit (unlike Last) so your comparison is?!?!

And I disagree. I think we've played better in attack this season, and threw the ball around just as much at Widnes and for parts of Hudds at home and Quins away. The difference on Sunday was that we didn't drop the ball as much while doing so.

The other main difference on Sunday was a much better performance by the forwards, giving us a little more opportunity to move the ball than has been the case too often this season.

I think people were looking for certain differences on Sunday and convinced themselves that they saw them. Human beings are good at that.

I'd love us to start playing an expansive and exciting style of RL. In fact I think we need to or crowds could drop. I'm not convinced that Agar will necessarily do that - he's spent the last four years working with coaches that didn't, after all - and I'm also not convinced that we have the players to carry it off anyway.

Maybe at the same time as next season's shirt launch and the release of the season passes, they will cunningly have us linked with every world star from AUS, NZ, GB and the SOO series and then when everyone has been conned for what they can afford to spend, just say sorry and release the signings of a couple of average, over the hill aussies !!!!
