It's a thankless task but he does a great job.

I might be able to help a bit I asked him about the covid loan at a Reserve game a few weeks ago and he said it had be paid off last March but it was all a bit vague and whether that's right I have no idea.
As for the the lease its a fifty year one reviewed after 25 years so that means its up for review and renewal in 2027 and I'm told we are talking with the SMC (who manage it) regularly but they are reluctant to sort anything until nearer the time because of essential work at the stadium that has to be assessed costed and carried out.
As for the investor well that's the million dollar question and no one but no one seems to know anything or are willing to even discuss it and quite frankly if it were me investing and I don't know about you, but looking at today I would be thinking twice about getting involved at all as its looking more and more like a real poison chalice and dare I say a lost cause.

Always appreciate your insights Wilf.
Surely if the COVID loan has been paid off he'd announce that the black cloud has been lifted in the media? And vice-versa if it hadn't surely we'd have heard the government were chasing by now? It's all very odd.
Likewise we have been going after expensive signings like Asiata and Lam, if the investment wasn't secure surely that would not be the case.
I.dont understand where this club is heading and that will be a big factor (the other being utterly fed up going to games) in renewing or not

| Investment is surely inevitable.
Myler, paying players off, offering about massive contracts to marquee players and coaches.
Having a DoR is huge for us. James C misinformed too many coaches, and Pearson, for too long, signing players and coaches who were huge mistakes.

People keep saying these things as proof of investment but let’s look at the facts.
Yes we must have paid some of the remaining 6 months of Hoy’s contract. If it was made clear to him he wasn’t getting another next year though it was in his interest to get something sorted elsewhere long term so I wouldn’t imagine it would have been a huge pay off. Brown simply walked away and I’m sure Ock and Pele found a new club before we released them. We might be contributing some wages but it’s not out of the realms of possibility that Bradford are paying them what they’d have earned at Hull without the needs of a pay off. Even if we are, we’ve wasted money on player pay offs before it’s nothing new, it’s part of the reason why we are in a financial mess.
The Myler links are intriguing, but maybe we just take it on face value that he seemed keen on the job and because of his inexperience in such role he wouldn’t have commanded a huge salary.
As for next years recruitment, look at it objectively and to me it just seems done on the cheap yet again. They’ve traded off wages with much longer contracts than they’d get elsewhere and whenever a player is in demand from another club we’ve lost out. The Lam talk was just a rumour, nobody knows if anything what he was offered.

Hoy didn’t sign for Cas for a couple of weeks if I remember rightly?
We offered Rowley, Lam and Lam all big bucks. And that’s the people we know of. I’d be very surprised if we weren’t in for Bateman and Whitehead.
It’s a massive job on the club’s hands. Steady progression is what we need, not trying to play trick cards like Josh Reynolds to get us out of a hole.

[size=200:1381yqo4] OLD FAITHFUL [/size:1381yqo4]: |

| Well Mr Pearson, you are finally reaping what you sow. After years of cutting corners and making cutbacks all while still taking your 250,000K a year out of the club has finally seen us hit rock bottom.
With the IMG criteria, you had written this season off even before a tackle was even made and yet again taking us loyal supporters for granted.
Even with the rumoured investment, new coach and players i wish you good luck trying to sell season passes for next season because you are going to need it.

Agree, he has past his sell by date at the club. No money and no leadership skills so time to go.
People thought Kath was bad but even under the dreary Agar days we still scraped into the playoffs somehow. I don't think Pearson has ever fully understood RL.
