I think Rich W is a TRUE player who gives his all every match but he is not a fullback. He should be played at centre. So yes i would have a proper fullback in his position as with the rest of the team play them were they are best! The problem is our recruitment, getting players because they are good then making them play in different possitions.'"
Whiting had a great game on Friday

I agree he looked good and i really like him as he does give his all every game but he aint a fullback. Look what happened when we had the Briscoe/Tony problem we get rid of a proper fullback and keep an international HOOKER as fullback! (i also think Motu did put the effort in but was not a fullback).

We're not getting rid of anyone, so I don't see the relevance. Whiting is the best available option at full back without a shadow of a doubt. If Agar had put Briscoe there and Sinfield had kicked him to death he'd be getting slated for it. He's made some big mistakes as Hull coach, but putting Whiting at full back (at least until Phelps arrives) isn't amongst them.

I thought he was poor and showed exactly why he's not a fullback. Yes he caught the ball well but we know he does that, he's slow (which we also know) and got done for pace time and time again. He was at fault for at least 2 tries.
His tackling was terrible!!

I agree he is one of the players that allways tries no matter the odds even chasing BJB half the length of the field to stop him going under the posts (even though people on here say he is slow). the reason of the original reply was that we have a coach/board who wont play people in the right position we buy people like Westerman then play him as a centre when his best pos is loose. The list goes on but look at the likes of Wigan,Saints,Leeds they all give the youth a chance when a player is injured. Wakefield have just lost some of their players due to admin so they put in some youngsters and beat Catalan! Why do we keep getting quality players and putting in different rolls?

With comments like that, you are Rich Agar and I claim my £5!
Whiting puts all the effort in the world to his playing performance, but is painfully slow at this level, as was clearly evidenced by the BJB try. His positioning was questionable (thats fair enough, he is not a full back) and he is never going to break a tackle or come swooping into the attacking line, dare I say it, Like Tansey did.

Whiting was the only one who got anywhere near BJB. And if he's painfully slow, I guess Briscoe must be as well...

| The scoreline on Friday could have been a lot worse if not for Whiting's last-ditch tackling but I didnt see anything else to support the idea that he can be a full-time fullback.

I dont think even Tansey would have gaught BJB or even Jack Briscoe but what i am trying to say is Agar wont put people in their rightful position and bring the youth up to fill injuries.

| Very depressing to think this man is so protected by the board, and that he is soooo thick skinned that he appears to be so uncaring towards how we the fans feel. The man should show that he does care and walk.
Just cheered myself up watching that popular tube thingy .....chuffing Agar.... watch it very funny in a masochistic way.
